I have noticed that lately everything out of my 8 year old sons mouth is negative. If I dont say so myself, our house hold is full of jokes and making fun of one another in a light hearted way. So I have no clue what is going on. I am starting to get worried. Any suggestions on how I can change this. That would be greatly appreciated.

Try when you are both in the car. Use it as an opportunity to tell him that saying negative things makes everyone who hears them feel bad, but also they tend to come true when you say them. Much better to say positive things. People like hearing them and they tend to come true when you say them.
