I've gotten whiplash from a car accident on a first date.

The last accident I got into was when I was pregnant with Lynn. Totaled my car. Had to go to the hospital for monitoring the baby. Kept going into premature labor after that (3 times in the following 2 1/2 months).

A couple. Once I was riding in the back seat with a group of folks all going to Florida. A front tire blew and we began to spin. We crossed all 6 lanes of highway, including the grassy median, and ended up on the far side of the road. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt but the car was not so good.

Then there was the time that I was waiting behind a car that was planning to make a left turn. There was a car behind me, also waiting. It was an older car from the 1960's, with the big fins and the low trunk. A girl came around the curve way over the speed limit in her boyfriend's Camaro, rode up onto the trunk of the old car, became airborne, and landed on the back half of my car, squishing everything flat from just behind the driver's seat back to the back bumper. I ended up with severe whiplash and on foot, while she discovered that you can break the laws of Florida but not the laws of physics.

Everything else has been minor fender-benders.

When I first started driving I was following my step dad off the motorway, my brakes went and I knocked into the back of him. No damage to either car.

When we went to visit my mum 3 yrs ago, we were in my step dads car. Dunno how it happened really but another drove into the back of us. We had my son who was 14 months old at the time and I was nearly 6 months pregnant with my daughter. No one was hurt but the girl who drove into us was freaked out when my son was taken out of the car then had a major panick attack and totally broke down when I heaved my huge belly out of the car.

i've been in two accidents that totalled my car, but i wasn't injured badly. one was a 14 year old kid stole a car and then proceeded to run into me after he ran a stop sign, and then he drove off. they found him a week later.

second one my husband (new boyfriend at the time) was driving me home from a bar cause i had been drinking. a deer ran in front of us and we hit it totalling my car. i had minor injuries from the air bag, my face was bloodied a bit and i was sore, but nothing big.

my husband on the other hand, got into a car accident where an old lady crossed the center line and hit him head on. breaking his right ankle and left hip. it was almost 5 years ago and it has forever changed our lives. he doesn't have normal use of his ankle anymore, he can't run, jump, ride a bike, walk long distances etc. he is usually in an extreme amount of pain after work.

I've been in one car accident where my car was totaled. I was getting on the highway and the lead car stopped, the car in front of me stopped, I managed to stop but barely, the car behind me slammed into me causing a 4 car accident. My car was only like 3 months old, thankfully I walked away just fine besides whiplash.

Then almost two years ago I was t-boned in my driveway my someone who was going about 50 mph, my car was repaired but it cost ins over $5,500 to replace the passenger side of the car. That was an ambulance ride but primarily because the kids were in the car my daughter was only about 1 month and 1/2 old. Again just whiplash and some major trauma for my son who was afraid for about 6 months after that everytime we got into the car there would be an accident.
