No iphone in this house. We have three computers and one old laptop. Soon to get ME another laptop. I am still waiting as of July 24. If I knew what to look for I would go get it myself. Damn Mark.

I have an iPhone, hubby and I have a laptop each plus we have a spare (just in case one needs work, we always have a spare - keep in mind we rung 2 businesses), and we have a computer for the kids to use set up in the study. My son doesn't have a smart phone - he can have one of those when he can pay for it. Right now he struggles to pay for the basic one he already has. My step-daughter has one, but I don't count her. She's 19 and she doesn't visit so much these days - I think she's glued at the hip to her boyfriend :P

@Kelly - some phone plans include a special kid phone that can only call certain numbers, such as yours or your husbands. I agree that 6 is too young for a phone but I have known some moms who feel their child needs a phone.

No, he won't give up on it. I managed to last until mine was 14 to get him a phone, and he has lost or broken more than I can count.

Thanks, Jane, that is definitely worth looking into if we decide to get him one. He doesn't need one, but he says "it's annoying to ask when I want to call my nana's or my Kim. If I had my own phone, I wouldn't have to bug you all the time."

He has been asking for months, and he will NOT let up on it!

We have a kick-ass PC in the living room that the hubby and FIL built together, my laptop (we got it from Jeff's work since they were replacing the manager's machines), no ipads or iphones, but we have 2 working Droids and 2 others that are only good for parts.

Constance, why do you need 3 phones?

Did you get iphones for all of your kids? J wants a phone, but I feel 6 yrs is too young. If we do buy him one, it will probably just be a regular one.

He wants an ipad too, do your kids like theirs? We don't do Apple products, so I was hesitant to buy him one, but I noticed a lot of his friends have those instead of laptops.

We have 3 laptops, 1 netbook, and 2 desk tops, and my husband has a smart phone.....Droid I think?

All of the computers (and the phone) have access to our wireless internet at home, and can go online when we are out if we are in a wireless hot spot. The phone can, of course, get online anywhere we have cell service.

J's laptop has parental controls on it though.

The two desktops are hooked up to the same 37inch monitor--One is mine for image editing, and the other is John's for online gaming. We don't use those much, but it's nice to have the big screen when we need it. We can also hook out laptops up to it if we want to.

One regular desktop computer and one regular cellphone.

I'd like a laptop, but when an itty bitty screened one (that I wouldn't be able to see anything on) costs as much as my desktop..... I'm going to be stuck w/ desktops forever.

No iphones, ipads or laptops (althought I would like one for no good reason except to have one), we just have one desktop computer.

You will laugh if I tell you. But here goes. It just for chatting on CoM while I am away from home. Like football games and dance classes and of course family get togethers. I will keep it downstairs for cooking and eating dinner. Can you say addict. LMAO

No iPhone, did tech support for Apple for a while and will never buy anything they make.

We have 3 working computers and probably 2 or 3 more in parts. No laptop, but will be looking for one in the next year or so for traveling (if we ever get to go anywhere lol).

What do you need the laptop for Shannin? My husband and I are both computer geeks so I might be able to point you in the right direction :)
