ive been sick with a sinus infection since friday evening, just GUESS how messy the house is! LOL

Yeah, hubby could clean it, but im a bit OCD at how things get done around the house since im a SAHM and its just what i do. he knows that i would be at his heels watching over his shoulder, telling him he was doing it wrong, and/or going behind him and redoing it! so he just leaves it alone unless i ask! LoL i know i know, i should just appreciate it, and i do when he does it, its just i feel its MY job cause i have nothing else to do! LOL

no really, he helped me more than cleaning! all 3 days he kept both the dog AND kid occupied OUTSIDE away from me! LoL i'll take that over cleaning any day!

My house is usually messy, but clean......meaning it's not tidy but it's sanitary....make sense? There's not garbage or dishes or dirty laundry laying around but there is clutter here and there.
Oh and even ifi vacuum every day there's always pet hair around :/ hopefully once the dog is gone it will be cut in half or so.
When iwas 8 months pregnant with Fia iwas 'fired' from my babysitting job so I started cleaning like mad for our home birth. I got the house spotless and kept it that way until she was born! It was amazing and so good feeling. Then she was born and all he'll broke loose, between Erics regressing, fias reflux, and my ppd the house got trashed.
Now it's slowly getting better as I'm working very hard on it!

My house is clean...ish. It's presentable, but there's a lot of stuff I need to catch up on, like the windows, the light fixtures, the baseboards...stuff like that.

Fortunately, we've lately been able to spring for getting a cleaning lady in once a month. It makes a HUGE difference.

it isn't dirty just lived in I guess lol! Which if I'm honest is code for a complete warzone. I wake up some mornings in a grumpy mood and could quite easily have the place bulldozed to the ground lol!

Bahahaha every glass door or Logan height surface has hand marks on it. And I can't be bothered to scrub it off today.

[deleted account]

I have to vacuum everyday because it's winter here and i have a wood fire so wood chips and dirt from the wood gets everywhere.
I'll also add that my kids are responsible for their rooms and toys which generally means all the floors in the house are theirs to keep tidy.

[deleted account]

I just finished cleaning the house and I'm on CoMs to celebrate :)

Every day I *try* to pick up and vaccuum the living room (*try* being the key word there...). I clean up the kitchen every night before I go to bed (because I HATE doing dishes first thing in the morning). I *try* (once again, key word) to do at least a load of laundry every day, but it doesn't always happen.

My kids are in charge of keeping their rooms tidy (I don't expect clean, but tidy) and I vaccuum their rooms once a week. My oldest also cleans the bathrooms 2-3 times a month as part of her chores (only 1 of the bathrooms really even gets used...).

[deleted account]

My house isn't a pig sty or anything that bad but it's pissing me off big time. The walls are whats getting to me they need to be scrubbed due to my 3 shit heads always having dirty hands and thinking it's so much fun to put those dirty hands all over my walls. I should probably clean my floors sometime today as well.

Ours isn't too bad. hubbys a clean freak so I keep on top of it to avoid the ear ache I'll get from him whinging the house is a mess (his definition of mess and mine are totally different. His will be the books aren't neat on the shelf or the kids have 2 toys out each instead of 1. My favourite is all dirty dishes have to be rinsed and stacked in a neat little pile before they are washed)

I do the shopping or take the kids out, do an errands in the morning so we are back for lunch, then the kids can play outside or in their rooms while I clean in the afternoon

It's not horrible, but it is really annoying; you know it is bad when you have to go camping to get a shower LOL. In most cases, no, we can't just withhold rent; in Ohio, if you have an issue, you have to submit a complaint to the landlord in writing, give him/her 30 days to get it together, then you start paying the county, who will tell the landlord to get it together or the money will go back to the tenant so they can make the repairs. Our contract, um well, he doesn't even have a copy of - he doesn't even know my legal name, so it would be on him to prove that it didn't say we could make repairs as needed and take it off the rent. And if he were to take us to court (which he would have to in order to legally evict us), it would then be obvious to the county that the "private residence" is really a rental, and they will go after him for back taxes.

I'm personally just waiting for the plumber to show up - the landlord's nephew lives below us and I'd bet he will call the landlord, who will mysteriously show up and claim he was planning to come over tomorrow to fix it. I wish we could move, but our credit sucks.

Lin that doesn't sound pleasant. Can you NOT pay rent until it is fixed. That is what I would do. But I don't know the laws. I love you kids nicknames by the way. I think I might steal them. Ha ha.

OH MY DEAR FREAKIN' GODS I believe would be the proper terminology for my house. We are ticked off at our landlord and we are in the process of fixing up the unit so it looks nice for us, but is unsellable without him doing a ton of work (our deposit is the last month's rent, so we have nothing to loose). So we have stuff moved here and there and not put away, paint supplies, etc. El Destructo 1 and 2 (the kids) have had "fun" in their room and have a wonderful system of keeping me from barely doing the dishes. My back had me on very limited activity for 14 months, so I'm still trying to play catch-up too.

The bathroom's a mess. A few days before Memorial Day weekend the plunger that you pull on the bathtub faucet to get the shower going broke - the baby really did break it. The landlord came over June 1st to collect the rent and see what he needed to fit it. He arrived at 11:30, told me he'd be back by 1:30 that day, and has gone MIA except a request to collect July's rent (he hasn't gotten it - we told him he can get it when he comes to fix the shower). I've been wanting to give the bathroom a good cleaning but why bother if a plumber's going to mess it up LOL. (We've been taking baths, so we're not stinky, and we decided to hire a plumber to take care of it our damn selves, and taking it off the rent.)

I clean , vacuum , do the dishes ( twice a day ) do a couple of loads of washing everyday which takes about an hour maybe an hour and a half and I mowed the lawn today.

It really takes little time to get the house neat it never stays that way at the moment it is the afternoon and there are a few toys laying around and a couple of dishes .

My 2 and a half year old loves to vacuum and wash dishes which is a great help.

Have you having watched any of those shows about hoarders? Well, it's like that. Well, maybe not quite, but it is bad. My son is visiting his birth father for a few days so I am trying to do as much as I can before he comes home and undoes it all.

Why does it take only a fraction of the time it takes to clean a room to destroy it?

Well I just cleaned it…but on any given day there are toys all over the living room..for about most of the day…I have given up cleaning right after my 15month old is done playing..as soon as he sees me picking them up..he gets it back out/down..and its on the floor again.

Sometimes I let the dishes go until the end of the day..never days

(I am considered the messes person out of my 3sisters and mother. they all love to clean..enjoy it)

I on the other had clean because it bugs me, but the whole time I thinking, “I cant wait until im done” LOL

I have hardwood floors all thru the house so I do sweep 2-4 times aday…and that is ONLY because my son picks things up and likes to eat it whatever it is he finds..
