Thanks Nichole, I forgot to take my last dose of Fenugreek today. WIC has a breastfeeding consultant and the store that I get my cloth diaper covers has a lactation specialist that consults for free. That's how I found out it may be due to B12 deficiency.

Corbin wouldn't latch unless I used the shield. That only lasted 6 months, and I had to suppliment with formula. Lynn wouldn't latch, and now we know that was because she was choking whenever she ate. My milk dried up when she was 3 months old.

I agree Elizabeth drinking to self medicate probably isnt a good reason. Drinking for fun once already relaxed better idea :D

I think I'll hold out on the alcohol until a time when I'm drinking to enjoy it, and not using it to self-medicate. Oh, but I have some quality chocolate to do that. brb

Fenugreek I hear works too, and some sort of greek root. My obgyn told me because I couldn't breastfeed last time more than 2 weeks I didn't produce crap. I also hear la lecha league will provide free services and advice in your local area if they are around for breastfeeding so...... you could look into that?

Eat oatmeal totally doubled my milk in like 24 hours, I ended up having to use cabbage to reduce it some. Or if you can find it Mothers Milk Tea its yummy to drink and boosts milk production :D and try not to be stressed that can make it slow down too, (I know easier said then done)

I've not been able to breastfeed enough to know much about it, but that's something I've always heard suggested.
What do you mean by not loving? How much "not love" is there?

None stored up. I've been having problems producing enough and having to suplement. I might be deficient in B12 which would explain the supply problem and the reason my ribs aren't healing. That's another thing I have to do in the morn. call my doc back to see if I'm to start taking supplements or if she's going to do blood work first.

I read (my boyfriend and I had a HUGE fight over breastfeeding and drinking) that you don't have to pump and dump - that whatever is in your blood stream actually leaves by the time you are ready to feed again and if you're not ready, it's not out of your system, pumping will do no good. I hope that came out right, I can only half think lol

Yea you can do that too, If your not buzzed the baby wont be which is why right aftter a feeding is bestest then you have some time for it to lesson. and I don't think a shot would do it. Shesh Now I want some and Im not evening nursing. Got Jose in the kitchen

Alcohol sales end at 1 here. 8 minutes ago. I have some honey wine, but I would only dare to drink a half a glass it's that strong. If I knew Donovan would sleep for another 5 or 6 hours like he does some nights, it would be down my gullet already, but he might wake and want to be up two or three times in the same amount of time.

Agreed! I wouldn't dare think otherwise if he's given you this as a scenario before. Slim is still an option and no offense but he's not in the best mindset right now. I love the church advice, thanks Carolee.

So that tropical island. Remind me to pack some bread and some wine yeast. I'll make wine and those of us that aren't nursing, pregnant or taking care of the little ones will stay pleasantly buzzed all day long.

Every great once in a while he feels that I'm trying to keep our son from him and he freaks out and feels cornered and wants to bolt with his kid. He has threatened it. Previously he thought that he could be arrested for doing it, but now he knows he can't. The possibility is really slim, but it is there.

Most places (if you live in or near a big city) have free legal advice. Check local churches. A lot of times, they can review your case for you, offer legal advice, and if they think you have a good chance of winning they can/will take your case for either a steeply discounted rate or pro bono. I had to do that when I left Corbin's bio father, even though we weren't married.

Okay and I may be able to get a civil protection order ex-facto to prevent him from taking Donovan out of state without my permission even though we are married.

Actually, I just found one thing that I'm looking for. I'll be able to get court ordered supervised visitation if we separate or divorce so that opens up that option.

Not quite two years. The situation is totally fubar and I'm not sure which direction to turn. It would be so much easier if we didn't have a child for me to worry about how things will affect him.
