My manager very sweetly explained how that a mistake could have been made by the customer, theorder taker, the sandwich maker or the co-ordinater. She explained how she should have ordered the sandwhich and said that we would be happy to make the sandwhich the way she wanted it. Gave her old sanwhich back and asked if she'ld like to try it again politely. She got all huffy and left.

Oh Man, well the guy was like 3 years younger than me and getting grabby and wouldn't stop so I flipped him over and told him if he did it again he'd be out on the street. I guess it helps that my brother and I always wrestled (and amazingly this is why the woman kept losing aides)

Elizabeth, I hope you spat on the next one. Do not get me started on Wendy's. I was never technically fired from there but I came back from holiday to Las Vegas and was never put back on the schedule. This was 11 years ago and I still wonder if I should go back some time and ask what my hours are. My mom and I joke about that.

Well kinda, there are some really nasty old people (one of them got me fired from a really boring nursing home job) but most of them are ok. The worst was a tie between the MS guy who kept looking down my shirt and the lady's grandson who I had to knock to the floor.

Carolee I was a cashier too so I can imagine. I had this one woman grab my arm once and demand I restart her order after I'd suspended it and started another while a front end runner when to get a certain product for her. The lady had to have been in her 70's and I was 20. I told her she was in my bubble.

That's one reason why I'm no longer a cashier... I had a way to very politely tell customers to go fuck themselves when they were rude.

And oddly enough I'm allowed to work with people. Lindsay I feel for you, Abby's the same way and some people are just so rude they don't even say hi. thankfully that hasn't happened to us yet. Of course she would've told the woman not to swear because it's not nice

Hey Shannin, I had an idea today. You know how you shut down the chat yesterday because a debate started, maybe next time you could do a spin off for debates. Like if we got into one tonight, you could post a new thread and name it "random chat 74 spinoff" and ask them to move the arguement there.

I had to backspace on a word. I have typing dyslexia tonight and I'm hitting some wrong letters too, so I wrote "random shat"

@ Elizabeth, there two incidents that happened today. The first incident happened at the grocery store I had Katie with me and she is a very outgoing and sociable little girl, when she sees people or little kids she will go up and say hi to them. We were in the checkout aisle when this woman came up and Katie said "Hi" to her, the lady cursed at her and said "Your mother needs to fucking teach you not to talk to strangers" and Katie started crying.

My husband and I taught her the proper anatomy. Then her cat had to get nuetered and she started going around telling everyone her cat had his balls cut off. Thankfully she's 7 and cute so she can get away with it.
