A couple of years ago, two of my students were at my house after they graduated to get some extra study in for boards. We were sitting out on the porch sipping mint tea all relaxed before we started studying. There was a nice cool breeze going in the summer heat and the birds were singing on a day when the blue sky had big puffy white clouds.

All of the sudden, the door swings open, my daughter runs out with her scythes and runs into the yard and around the back of the house.

My students probably had a similar look.lol

Could you imagine the look of scared confusion on the guy's face (maintenance guy, it turned out to be... in the last apartment) when I was almost 9 months pregnant and came at him with a Katana when he opened the door without waiting to see if anyone was home?

hmmmm check Craigslist in the free section? all sorts of weird crap pops up in our area.. dirt.. manure (yipee?) couches.. tables.. people move and just want stuff out of their houses. the chances of what you need specifically popping up would be slim but maybe the materials to make one would pop up for free?? people use stuff and sell it for cheap. I was so pissed off - I saw a huge playyard for sale. the woman basically had 2 and extra peices she bought in order to make a big area for her kid.. it would normally cost like 500$ she was selling for maybe 100. so if you just need a smaller one or a play yard for night times.. those go for 20$? I wish I could help more :( losing sleep is baaaaaaaad
