I waited till he looked away then I wiped it off. When my daughter was a couple of years old she saw me doing that and was sad. I told her I wasn't wiping the kiss off, I was rubbing it in. (good save huh?)

That sounds lovely. We don't really have the leaves changing like that. Our native trees and plants stay green all year round.
We are in wildflower season at the moment, all the native plants flower in spring and it's just beautiful. They usually go dormant in summer because it gets too hot.

It's fall here and the leaves are changing. In another week or two, my grandma (88) and I will do our 7th annual fall leaf drive. We take off about 9:00 and drive a couple of counties away and hit the back roads. The ones that are dirt with gullies in them from when the rains came. We listen to western music (Roy Rogers, Gene Autry etc.) and laugh our butts off. We find a place to picnic for lunch and a restaurant for supper.
