I sometimes have a really hard time not being a smart ass to some of the same type posts over and over. What are some responses you would love to say. Mine are:
Go to the fucking doctor then.
Get a magic 8 ball.

I say yay! I told a woman asking how to get her 3 month old to stop wanting to be help all the time to get a time machine and make the child a teenager.
Of course I also offered advice.
ETA: Johnny, sarcasm must be extremely prevailant in BC because my husband and his dad engage in it on a regular basis :)

There haven't been many lately, but those ones where they describe some terrible injury their kid has suffered or their 104 degree 5 day temperature and ask if they should go to the doctor. NO CALL A FUCKING AMBULANCE. I think there was one thread once where everyone posted that.

It depends. If the person asking the stupid question is clearly a few tools short of a full shed, then I just try to help. They clearly need it. If they are trying to shit disturb, like the spanking thread for instance, my sarcasm monster erupts. I have used the "magic 8 ball" answer, but only for a friend as a joke. And she got it.
I could also care less if some moron takes my sarcasm seriously. I'm Canadian, almost every Canadian I know is sarcastic. Extremely sarcastic. We are used to the blank stares from Americans and the offended looks, its like water off a ducks back.

I like sarcasm, but I agree with Jayce - some people don't get it and will either take you seriously or get really offended.
I always liked telling someone who really pissed me off that I refuse to match wits with someone who is defenseless - most of them don't get it.
