It's legal and regulated in Australia, which is the way I think it should be.

It's the oldest profession in the world. I say legalize and regulate it.

I agree with Denikka. Legalize and regulate it. It's happening anyways.

Here in NZ its decriminalized, which gives the prostitutes better access to police help and the healthcare system. Its a choice, and I think police have more things to worry about than some lady giving some guy a blowjob for 20 bucks

Legalized and regulated. Like they do on the bunny ranch in Texas (I believe that's where it is..too tired to google)
People are gonna prostitute themselves, and other people are going to go to prostitutes. It's the oldest profession out there. And a VERY dangerous one. I would much rather see those girls in a (regulated) brothel type situation where they were looked after, paid well, and tested regularly.
Street walking hookers should still be illegal, but I'm all for legalized brothels.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

I used to live in New Zealand before I met my husband and I worked as a prostitute for six months (legally). I think that it is silly that it's illegal in some states

Yes. I think it should be. That way everyone involved has to get mandatory drug and disease screening and pay taxes on it. The countries that have legalized it also seem to have lower sexually-related crime rates.

No I really don't. Why condone that kind of behavior? We stopped in Vegas about a year and a half ago on the way to see my husbands sister in California. We were walking up the strip to the M&M store with our two toddlers and I was obviously pregnant. People were handing us those stupid flyers and cards for prostitutes all the way up the strip. My son is holding my husbands hand and they're still trying to give them to him. At one point someone tried to give one to my son. I accept that people do it whether it's legal or not, but I do not think it's something that we should make easy access/ easy to advertise/ easy to ruin marriages (or relationships). So legalization would not be okay to me. I don't always have to popular view but it's what I think.
