(This is NOT directed at anyone on CoMs, just a safe place to vent!!)

So, I've been spring cleaning, and going through and getting rid of lots of stuff. I decided that I'd give away useful, decent stuff, instead of trying to sell it......the economy and all........thought it'd help some people out!

WOW!!! I had a lady message me, wanted me to deliver some stuff. Ok, I assumed same town, nope, 45 minute drive. UMMM, NO! She tells me her pity story. I almost say yes, but I really could not afford the gas for my 12 year old, hail beaten, pos! So after pleading for me to deliver, she comes to pick up the stuff, in her BRAND NEW ELECTRIC CIVIC!! WTF??

The next asshole wanted the tools I'd posted to give away, to work on his 3 Harleys. No, they weren't new, but worth more than my house.....

Then there was the lady who got into a fight on my postings. She was disabled, single mom, so broke, yadda, yadda.......I refused her getting more of my stuff, after she took a bunch of free clothes and SOLD them. She was pissed and turned my name into the admin of the give away site. REALLY BITCH?!? I don't consider someone who is perfectly able to hold down a job, drive, and go or do anything they want DISABLED!! Disablities make your life HARDER. Like my friend who can't even get into most stores because he can't get his wheelchair up stairs!! Or my friend who can't drive due to being legally blind!! If your "disability" is the inability to be a decent human being, sign me up for those damn benefits, cause I think I proved I can cuss, threaten, and throw a better fit than you! GIVE ME A BREAK!

I understand now why so many people seem so heartless. I want to tell everyone who ask for any charity now to fuck off and go to HELL! GEES! I am actually considered 'below poverty level' and still have enough to share, and can be kind to those worse off. BUT these people have totally turned me off. I am so beyond pissed right now....

Assholes!! We have a buy swap sell here too but I just give my stuff to St Vinnes because I can't be fucked delivering things to people when they got it for free. And yeah people sell stupid shit they should just give away it's ridiculous.

we we had a smilar problem on a fb group in my area. You can sell or give away stuff, some people were selling the free samples of baby formula from the hospital. My neighbor would do stuff like that all the time, she would get people from her church to feel sorry for her becasue she had 4 kids and her husbands job was slow in the winter, so they would give her food, clothes, cash, what she didnt tell them was that the house was her parents and they didnt charge her any rent because it was paid off. It pissed me off because there were poeple in way more need than her that would help her.

Around our part of the world we (friends of mine and me) had a real good garden one year. We had both offered people potatoes. Guess what???

Yep, they would only take the potatoes if we dug them and cleaned them and delivered them. So we did, directly to our own basements and ate what we could and used what we could for seed the next year and threw the rest out. Nope, didn't offer again. If they can't be bothered to come and get it but would rather go to the store and buy, see ya. There weren't even disablities or nothing, just LAZY.

Same thing with clothes, second hand store is more grateful than those who want but won't lift a finger to come and get them.

AARRGGHH!

Wow! Unreal. People are SO damn greedy these days. I freecycle and had this lady give me a sob story about how her daughter lost her job, blah, blah. So I put a BUNCH of clothes, toys and other things together for her to pick up. Does she say thank you? NO! But what she does do id respond to another post asking for stuff that she can pick up around 5. % passes, 6 passes and 7 passes, so I pull the shit off the front porch. At 11pm there is a knock at the door, then they ring the GD doorbell!


I screamed and yelled and stomped up and down. I know this lady is a predator and probably sells my shit too. People are jerks. I feel the same way as you. I'm donating to charities, at least I know where they're going. AND I get a thank you.
