What was your first period like? Did you use a tampon? Or a pad? I tried to use a tampon lol, but couldn't for the life of me get it in.
I just remember gushing at 14, I was a late bloomer. We were at a fair.

I think I was 12 I used a pad and up until 3 years ago never used a tampon. I was at home gross

12, on Thanksgiving day. I was not thankful though.
I remember I was helping my sister move into her new apartment when it started. I hid in one of her closets for a while. I did not take it well.

My first period was on the day my twin cousins were born. I was 11. I used a pad and realised very quickly how much I hate them. I had to ask my Mum for a tampon cause I didn't know where they were stashed, that's how I told her. The rest of the day is a mad blur as the twins were preemie and Mam was up and down to the hospital and relatives all day.

I really remember it. It was kind of an "Oh, ok, well this sucks." I have a feeling I was out, since I remember having to use toilet paper. I was a pretty well prepared kid. My mom wanted to make sure we were all better prepared than she was. I think I was around 11 or 12.

I was 13 or 14 we were camping. I tried using tampons because I wanted to go swimming, I also had a difficult time getting them in so they were pretty uncomfortable. I eventually figured it out.

I was 14. It wasn't much of a period, just brown spotting for a few days. It wasn't traumatic because my Mum had already prepared me for this day, she was very helpful and got me some little pads to use. I can imagine though, that when my daughter has her first, it will be drama all 'round...

It was a few months after I turned 12 (7th grade). Let's just say I was in denial the entire time. :(

I was embarrassed and asked my Mom not to tell my Dad. My cousin was spending the night and I was sitting on the bathtub while she used the bathroom and I fell back into the tub and my cousin was like "you're bleeding"! She went and got my Mom and my Mom got me a pad and of course told me Dad! I think I was in the 6th grade when I started.
