What day does your child start back to school?

Our daughter went back on July 18. Our school district has a year-round schedule :)



School in our district goes from July to June and there are 4 "tracks" that have 1-2 classes in each grade. each track has 3 months in school and a month off... for example, "A" track has July off and then in school for August, September and October; then off in November, in December, January and February; off March, in April May and June (in a perfect world... Of course holidays and such interfere, but that gives a good idea.) Then "B" track would be in school in July, with August off; then in September, October and November; off in December, in January, February and March; off April, in May and June... and on and on for the other 2 tracks. All tracks have 2 weeks at Christmas and 3 weeks for summer (last week of June and forst 2 weeks of July).

August 22 for my little guy. He's the only one left in school now. And no, I havent purchased a thing, not a school supply or any clothes. The 18 year old starts art school in October, all my babies are growing up...

No I love it. It is gourgous. Plus rrings and body piericing are the only way I can wear jewlery. I am seriously allergic to everything else. No necklaces nothing. I can't even have sugcal staples so I have pride in my rings.

My kids still won't get out for summer break until he midde of June. It s insane.

The upside is that we get out in May, usually around the 18th or so, unless we've had a lot of snow days like this last winter.

They've always started in August here. It seems like they keep starting earlier and earlier. Most of the other schools around here don't start until Aug 22 or something, but nope, not us.

My begin between Aug 8 - Aug 22. I have already spent a ton of money on bookbags, lunchbags, and school supplies. Half the time I feel like a school I have an entire closet that is stock piled with supplies. I guess though when 10 people attend school in your house you do have to get a lot. College books are going to break me I swear. The prices are ridiculous I have already spent $2000 on books alone.

J starts August 17th. I have not bought anything yet. He already has a good bag and lunch supplies; all he needs are the things on the class supply list, which I have not received yet, so I'm not going until I get it--I HATE having to make multiple trips or go back for things that I didn't know were going to be on the list.

I was wrong. Apparently my son is supposed to start on July 27. Oops... Oh well. He's starting August 8 cuz he's got to get home AND get his TB test done first. I am so not ready for this now.

They start August 11. I'm going shopping on August 6th or 7th. Oklahoma has a tax free holiday on clothes that weekend so I figure I might as well buy clothes and supplies at the same time.
