Corned meat, beef stroganoff, lamb shanks, beef and red wine casserole, gravy beef, apricot chicken, i"vebeen wanting to try a pot roast one of these days. But I'm not a fan of soggy meat that is meant to be a roast. my friend always makes honey soy marinated pork chops in hers

You can make a cranberry roast in the crock pot too. Just throw the roast in there with a can of cranberry sauce, like 2 tbsp of onion soup mix (more or less to taste) and cook all day.

You can do BBQ chicken in the crock pot. There's also a black bean chicken I've done that's good- black beans, salsa, taco seasoning, and add sour cream about a half an hour before dinner time. I've used a lot more crock pot recipes (because I can mix it all up in a ziplock and freeze it then take it out and throw it into the pot when I'm ready to have it).

I prefer homemade chili, but my kids and hubby love my moms version- one big can chili beans(can be found in the industrial food size aisle, and I buy bush's) and a pound and a half cooked, drained ground meat. Toss in the crock pot and heat through. Serve with frito's, cheese and sour cream. I also add chili powder and chopped onions, and sometimes stewed tomatoes, but hubby doesn't! If I have to be somewhere all day, my hubby will throw this together that morning and they will eat it all day!

Swede is a turnip, and as much sausage as you can squish in! I usually get about 14 links in.

Mmmmm.... sausage stew.
Cumberland sausage (lots of)
Onions
Mushrooms
Carrot
Swede
Parsnip
Peas
Veg stock
Cornflour
Fry onions and mushrooms, bang in slow cooker. Seal sausages, bang in slow cooker. Drop everything else in, cook all day. Drop in fresh dumplings. Serve.
Can't give quantities and such cause I don't measure anything.
Also make it with bell peppers, sweetcorn and toms instead of peas, carrots and swede etc.

I usually just do roast in ours but I really should start using it more! I love pork or beef roast with carrots, sweet potatoes, mushrooms and onions. In fact I started a pork roast in ours this morning. :) I love coming home, the house smells amazing and dinner is ready!

Here's an easy one for stuffed bell peppers--and it is REALLY yummy.
1 lb ground beef
1 can diced tomatoes
1 box spanish rice mix
1 can tomato soup
1 onion
1-2 stalks celery
1 egg
4 bell peppers
1. Mix beef, onion, celery, rice, and egg in a large bowl. (set the sauce packet from the rice aside)
2. Cut the peppers in half and spoon the beef mixture into them.
3. Pour the diced tomatoes into the crockpot and arrange the peppers on top of it.
4. Mix the seasoning from the rice mix, tomato soup, and about 1/2 cup of water in a small bowl, then pour overtop of the peppers.
5. Cook on low 6-8 hours.

I have a REALLY easy one for Sweet & Sour Chicken. 1kg (about 2lb) of chicken thighs diced, 500g (about 1lb) of frozen veggies, a 500ml jar of sweet & sour sauce, thyme and pepper to taste. Serve with steamed rice.

I usually do pork roasts or a beef roast. If you do a beef roast 1 can stewed tomatoes with Italian seasoning, one packet dried onion mix, and one whole onion quartered up it's delicious and there is juice to pour over pasta or brown rice.
