Mine? I was 17, cool with my 88 Firebird, or 84 whatever. I took out the entire front end of this lady'y car. She was picking her grill up off of the ground.

Ooh, I was driving in a STRAIGHT line, down a 2 lane back road when my boyfriend and I were in a tickle fight. Smart. I veered off the road and ran over........ yeah, I ran over an old wooden rocking chair, a bundle of carpet and whatever else was in that pile.... car spun sideways and the back end went across the road, turning us around to where we ran into a big dirt burm. A mound of dirt totaled my 99 Honda Civic. Wait, tickling totaled my car. Or just sheer stupidity. Therefore, I say I am smart when I pay attention........... it's just too bad my attention span doesn't stay anywhere for very long :(
My mom's friend rolled her Dodge Neon for yelling at her kids in the backseat for not coloring in the lines!!!!!!!!!!!

A couple of years ago, my husband to be and I were coming back from fishing late night and I was going slow because the road was unfamiliar with twists and hills, plus it was ideal conditions for deer to be roaming.
Unfortunatly, I didn't have enough time to stop when a deer ran out in front of me. I braked as hard as I could and when I hit it the deer flipped up in the air and landed upside down on my window, the windsheild broke and bowed inward. I thought that it was going to come all the way in but the laminate stopped it but barely, then it flipped over the car and ran off although we heard it bleating.
For several weeks afterward, my foot jerked towards the gas pedal anytime I saw movement at night. Until one night I realized that the thing that I had started braking for wasn't light reflection from an animals eyes, it was a firefly.

Kellie, that had to be horrifying to watch and not be able to do anything. Even though she was all right, I think I would have cried for an hour afterward.
I never got into any auto accidents when pregnant, but stairs were not my friends. With my daughter I fell down the stairs on three seperate times. The worst one I was holding the railing and being very carefull, I ended up bleeding.
When I was 20, an old guy ran a stop sign and hit me on the side. It spun my car around, I hit my head on the steering wheel the side frame of my station wagon was bent in and both passenger windows were shattered. The guy backed up and started to leave. Fortunatly a bunch of people heard the crash and came out and blocked him. Then he told the police that he had stopped at the stop sign. They asked him which one, the one a mile away. I just thank god that I didn't have my friends kids in the car. We were living together and except for that time, if I wasn't going to work, I would take at least one of her kids with me to give her a break. That was the accident that set of my fibromyalgia.

I think i am really fucking dumb when I'm pregnant. When I was 28 weeks with Logan I tried to go around a truck around a corner (hello.. DO NOT OVERTAKE TURNING VEHICLE sign in my face) and another was coming the other way and I quickly got around the front instead of slowing down. I thankfully avoided an accidental and certain death if anyone had crashed. Then when I was 20 weeks with Renae I was cruising along trying to be this other beat box car across a train line NOT watching since the boomgates weren't down and a fucking train was coming. We both JUST got across the train tracks before we got hit.

Good job Doc! Not.... Sounds like she needed to think before she spoke... Just a little... I'm sure if you, as an adult and as someone with brains, had thought it was needed you would have gone to the doctor sooner.

Fark there are some crazies out there Katherine!!
LOL at the Doctor, I'm sure a 2 hour stress test was fantastic for you the day after a car accident! Also maybe you shouldn't drive while your pregnant..... haha Glad there was a happy ending and you and the unborn were ok!
What a moron Amber! Was she high?

Oy Katherine!! I used to have nightmares about car accidents when I was pregnant!
Christian was 9 months when mine happened. I had just driven home and dropped him off with Chad 2 minutes before. I was 1mile away from the house after dropping him off. Gave me nightmares and panic attacks for months after seeing his empty car seat and forgetting he wasn't with me! I used to wake up from the nightmares and go check his crib to make sure he was really there.

My God Amber and Kellie!
When I was pregnant I was on the expressway and this guy switching four lanes and hit me. I was 9 months.
I didn't think anything of it because no one was injured or hurt, and I had a d octors appointment the next day. Mind you this was the SECOND accident I got into while pregnant with my first (not my fault). Anyways my doctor flipped out on me and made me do a stress test for 2 hours.
I want to say I was in one with my second too. Not my fault again.

I've never been at fault in an accident.
But 5 years ago, yesterday, I was in a really bad accident.
A girl ran a stop sign, right into my Jeep. Sent me rolling 3 times into a field. By the time I stopped rolling and kicked my way out of the wreckage, both bumpers, a couple tires, all the windows, and most the stuff that had been in my car were missing and laying all over the road. I was taller than my Jeep when I finally got out.
It was a mess. But luckily I walked away with only a concussion, embedded glass in my arms, lots of cuts and bruises, and sore.
The thing that pisses me off is that the stupid bitch who hit me, told 911 that I wasn't injured! Really? I rolled 3 times and my head and arms are bleeding....

LOL we bought a brand new car and my husband busted a tyre 1500km later and then wrecked one of the mags on our friend's gutter. WTF! People still think it must have been me.

I am more of a finder binder queen. My hubby's first car was totaled seventeen hours after he got it. It was a Camaro. His mom was pissed.

I have one but it wasn't our fault.
Not last Sunday but the one before, we were driving home from a visit with my Grandpa. We were approaching the turnoff we needed so Pete was slowing down, luckily, because about, oh I don't know, 50 meters or so before the turn there's a bus stop.
An older lady (we found out later that night she's 81 years old) approached the bus stop, turned to face oncoming traffic, overbalanced and fell right in front of us.
The second I saw her start to fall I screamed because I knew we were going to hit her, there was NO WAY we could have missed her (we hit her mid fall, that right there tells you how close we were to her).
Pete of course slammed on the breaks, we came to a stop and I'm just screaming at him to reverse, I thought she was under us, I really thought we were on top of her. He's like I can't reverse, turns out there was a car behind us, Thank GOD he was on the ball and didn't hit us! Anyways we get out the car, we've both taken one look at her and think fuck she's dead, she was so still. I quickly dialled 000, chucked the phone at Pete and went to get Rayne out the car as she was screaming, she wasn't hurt but I'd scared her when I screamed.
It was fucking HORRIBLE. She was so close to us when she fell I could see the expression on her face.
The Ambo's were there within 5 minutes and by then she'd started moving again. I'm so impressed with this little old lady, she took on a 4 wheel drive (we have a Ford Escape) and it seems she's won. Pete saw her last week and said she seemed to be doing ok and is recovering so big YAY's! I tried to see her today but couldn't find her, the RAH is fricken huge and I couldn't remember her last name so I'll try again tomorrow.
