My husband is. He works full time, I work 29 1/2 hours a week so our son isn't in daycare until the evening & I have more time in the afternoons to get things done around the house, run errands & spend time with our son. He is a skilled laborer (welder) and I am an administrative assistant, he makes more per hour than I.

Hubby. He makes more than twice as much as I did. I was working and paid well when I lost my job and found I was pregnant, 8 years ago. I have been a SAHM since. I didn't enjoy it or feel fulfilled until my children were older. Now I can't imagine doing anything else! I am an artist and now that my youngest starts school full time, I hope to make some fun money for the fam. My husband loves that I am a SAHM. He was raised by a single mom who was an ER nurse. He was basically raised by aunts and neighbors. He sees it as a gift to our children to have their mom home, and I agree. For our family, anyway.

My husband is because he always made more money. We'd be living on the street if I was the breadwinner. If I made more money he'd be the stay home parent.

My husband, I stay at home. I would say it was half by choice, half not. The original plan was for me to finish my degree, find work, then for my husband to go back to school. But we found out that we couldn't get any childcare. It really pissed me off too since I only had 5 quarters left. Although it was for the best, I found out a few weeks later that the career was going down the toilet and there were layoffs across the nation.
We crunched the numbers and realized it was less expensive for me to stay home than to work. Now with two, that is even more true. I don't like the idea of receiving help for childcare from the state when we would be in almost the same financial situation with me staying home.

My husband earns the pay check, while I work my butt at home. I was a dancer and choreographer before and you can't really prance about on stage when you're preggo. We decided I'd be a sahm 'til the sprogs were in full time school, then I'm going to see what dance/choreography work I can get to fit around kids holidays.

My husband is, by choice. We always agreed that I would stay home with our kids. I do a little housekeeping work to pay for my hobby and to buy little treats for us all.
I was never a career woman so it made sense for me to be the stay at home parent.

I am the primary earner my husband recently lost his job, before that we pretty much brought home the same amount but he paid for our benefits. Now it's all falling on me :( and it sucks!

We both work but my husband makes more money than I do however I provide the benefits so really it all balances it's self out. We both work to provide the best for our child. I can't handle living paycheck to paycheck so 2 incomes makes life more comfortable and less stressful.
