Anyone have multiple c-sections? 3 or more?

I had 3 C-sections and doctors told me it was dangerous to have another baby, we had the Adiana done so I dont get pregnant again. I did it Oct 2012, I just found out on June 5th, 2013 I am pregnant again. I am very nreves since doctor said that my stomach muscles are not strong to hold a pregnancy. I am 7 weeks pregnat with my 5th child. Have anyone had the same experience?

I am so glad you shared that because I just found out I am pregnant again I have already had 4 c sections this will be my 5 and I was really scared

I have had 6 c-sections..My doctors never discourage me from having more kids.It was not a big concern for them..and with all those c-setions.I only have one scar..

Hi I just joined the club I would like to start off by saying I have 6 children 13yrs 12yrs 10yrs 9yrs 6yrs & 3yrs old all of my children were delivered by c-sect after my last baby 2/2010 I got my tubes cut tied and burned my periods have always been regular and on time up until now I am 5 days late urinating alot lower back pain and lower stomach pain headaches sometimes i spotted off and on for 4 days then stopped I took 2 home PT test which were negative

i was just reading this post and was just wondering if any of you ladies had a bad burning/ pain sensation in your csections sights while pregnant? mine burns so bad at times that it feels like im being cut open from the inside out. ive talked to my doctor about it and he says its just from stretching but i dont remember feeling this with my second pregnancy...this will be my third csection...it hurts so bad that it actually feels like ive had another incision made and the doctor seems to think its nothing...HELP PLEASE!

I have had 4 c-sections. The first was an emergency; the 2nd was with my twins nearly 3 yrs later and I had attempted a VBAC but I was in labor so long that we decided to go ahead with the csection. I was allowed to try for a VBAC with my next pregnancy, delivered 51 weeks later, but under bad advice from the nurses and docs on call ended up having a repeat c-section and our final child was born 2 yrs ago via scheduled c-section. When I had the 2nd section I had a lot of scar tissue and they spent a lot of time cutting it away so they could get the twins out. I guess I didn't heal long enough the following year because there was still alot but no where near the amounts I had with the twins. Fast forward 6 yrs and I was warned early in pregnancy about all the possible complications and decided that this would be my final pregnancy, she told me she would tie my tubes if she could find them under the scar tissue. Needless to say my son is my final child and my tubes are tied. I didn't have nearly as much scar tissue as they thought I would and she was able to find my tubes fairly easily. It is definitely a case by case decision. I would suggest a 2nd opinion to discuss this further. For me it was the amount of scar tissue and not the strength of my uterus. There are women with no csections that don't have "healthy" uteruses.

i had 5 c-sections. i went to a high risk doctor through st. john.
i guess i will start at the beginning to try and give some advice.
i have 9 children ages 2-19. my first 4 kids i had naturally and by naturally i mean just that, no epidural or anything to intervene.
i toughed it out.
my 4th and 5th happened to be twins and i was forced into having a c-section because of positioning, breech/transverse.
i got pregnant within a year of the twins and although i was encouraged to try vbac, i heard too many horror stories about rupture after vbac so at the last minute i CHOSE to have a c-section, everything went well.
after 2 c-sections it was no longer an option for vbac, i was a c/s candidate only if i were to have anymore children.
my 8th pregnancy and my 4th c/s they discovered "windows" on my uterus during delivery, my doctors implored me not to get pregnant again, it scared the wits out of me!
the docs said had i not gotten to the hospital on time and had i gone into labor on my own (i developed very high blood pressure which i believe was my saving grace and i had an emergency c/s) it would have killed us both had i not been within 5 minutes of a hospital had i to gone into labor.
anyway...it was NOT a good delivery, i wished i could have tied my tubes but i was at a catholic hospital and all of that needs to be approved ahead of time even in my situation.
i made it through all of that ok. without going into any further details, it was a VERY ROUGH delivery AND after process.
i had it in my head not to ever get pregnant again, used precautions with my husband every time but low and behold 5 years later, got pregnant again.
i was shocked & petrified and 40 years old, i considered abortion on more than one occasion, what good would i be dead to my live kids is all i could think!!
i decided to talk to the high risk docs before making such a life changing decision, either having the baby or not. the docs at saint john were amazing. from day one they told me "let us handle the pregnancy", you handle taking care of you. i decided to keep our baby and hope for god to take over. it was by far the most beautiful pregnancy, i felt amazing, no complications ever and i just felt great!!! scheduled the c-section at 36 weeks, did an amnio to see if his lungs were ok... delivery was all set, had an uncomplicated delivery, not a problem whatsoever, the windows even healed themselves, i had my tubes tied during that c/s and that's my only regret. i'd have like to had one more but it was all set from my first ob appointment (to tie my tubes). had i known it was going to run so smoothly, i'd have changed my mind on the delivery table.
i know this was a lengthy response but i say get yourself excellent care and the rest will take care of itself. i wished i would have had some advice from another mom!
my doctor told me he delivered one woman whom had 8 c-sections. go with your gut, that's what i did
when i didn't go through with the abortion.
when i look at brody (my baby) and think he may not have been here, it brings me to tears that he is mine!!!! good luck ♥

I've had four c-sections. Scar tissue isn't my issue, it's the thinning of the uterine wall that would cause a rupture and kill the baby and me.



Second opinions don't hurt anyone. :)
