so at my son's kindergarten graduation, the teachers made a scrapbook for the year. I asked my ex for it so I could make him a copy and put it in his "my life" scrapbook.

once he realized that I had no intention of giving him the original he flipped out and said he wanted it back (in the classroom). I told him to go away and stop acting like a child.

So then I'm outside watching my son play on the playground-not 15 ft from me- and he comes up to me again saying that he should get it and that he wants the original and I again, tell him to go away and leave me alone before he puts me in to labor (I'm 9 months pregnant).

At this point his girlfriend approaches me and stands within a foot of me and says she's not going anywhere without the book. I tell her to leave me alone or I'm calling the cops. She takes a step closer to me as I'm walking away and I go to walk back in to the classroom and she tries to take the book from out of my hands and scratching up my arm from my tight grip on it.

I filed a police report but because she didn't actually touch me, I'm not pressing charges. I'm wondering if I should file a TPO on her or just let it go.

We have court coming up soon so I can easily just put the police report and picture of my arm in the case file for the judge to review but should I be worried that she's going to get violent on me again since she did this in front of my son at his school........?

It sounds to me as if you're the one who started all of this. Arguing and being hateful to your ex and his SO is causing nothing but problems with your kid(s). You're pregnant. You've moved on stop being crazy.

Why don't you just make a copy of the book for them? Can your child make another? Why would you want a huge fight over a book?? I wouldn't press charges unless she does something again, but at least you have the police report.

If the book belongs to him, make a copy and give it back to him, he can use that as a theft, and use it against you in court. Or just ask the teacher for another copy of it.
If either of them hit you ever, get a protection order, that will likely keep your ex from seeing your son except two hours a month, supervised in a certian time and place.

Maybe the protective order is a good idea. Who knows what she will do the next time? Is she always violent? What if she is aggressive with the child? She sounds a little crazy IMO. Thats pretty bold of her to get physical like that.
