Im 26, mom to five little ones (aged between almost 8 and 8 months). Until about 3 weeks ago, i was still breast feeding my youngest. Im still waiting for my periods to start, and this is the longest its ever taken for them to get going again. We really want one more baby and would love a small age gap. Just wondered how everyone else has been?

hi, thanks for replying. Its the first time ever that ive gone past 8 months with no period (ive even had them return while feeding), and i guess i just worry something is wrong. Not really stressing over it, but it would be nice to know im actually getting back to normal. It takes me between 10-13 months to conceive and thats with periods returning at the lastest 7 months, so i dont have a choice but to wait, and i know ive got alot longer to wait yet x

Hi Janice, i'm a mum of 4 (my kids age between 14 yrs - 7 yrs, all breastfed) it does take a lil while for menstruation to return after breastfeeding ceases, time differences vary with each, it can take up to 3 months that i'm aware of from personal experience for them to return to a normal regular cycle. less anticipation and stress about it helps regularity of the cycle too. if it happens it happens type of approach, the best part is the "fun" involved in the whole 'trying for another' lol
