So my son was diagnosed at 3 weeks with laryngo traceal malacia. We have been very lucky that we haven't spent time in the hospital. So far he seems to be growing normally and is very active. His chest cavity is flaired from the stridor when he was younger and he has difficulty with any texture and could never take a bottle due to flow issues.
At his last visit 7 months the per said she heard clear breath sounds when he was on his stomach, but was concerned that he was still audible upright. She said if it continued at 9 months we would have to go for additional testing. When I asked what they would be looking for she said underlying causes and said we would go into it more when we got there. Of course now I am freaked out . Any idea what kind of tests or what they are looking for?
