Oh there is also LiveOps, and another one Cloud10 (sorry I can't think of that name right now but I will look it up) that do customer service from home (you choose your hours) You would need a background which runs about $35. Its a reg check. ratracerebellion.com I think thats the site that has some companies listed. I got that from LDS Employment.

IF you don't mind commission - The SPecial Needs Store is looking for moms to help build their online directory - not high pressure sales at all. There is a text ad for that on my site hopemagazineonline.com its on the homepage. You can email Kelly through that. Her site is thespecialneedsstore.com It pays well.
You would just be letting businesses know about the directory via the phone.
I know that most special needs directories are not accurate anymore. I think she splits the cost 50.50. Plus its a great cause. She is a small business

Hi Bethany. There are lots of opportunities to work from home and make some extra money while having a schedule that fits around your time with kids. I run an online boutique that sells baby bedding (http://mayleesboutique.com/baby-bedding-...) and lots of other kids stuff. I get most the products from suppliers who don't require me to run a retail store, so it works out great.
You could also make money blogging or writing about your opinions and experiences on places like HubPages.com or Squidoo.com. I know of people who make a couple thousand dollars per month on those kinds of sites.

If you make handcrafts, like sewing or crocheting, things like that, Join ETSY. com. It doesn't cost anything to join, and for only 20 cents for four months you can advertise. But don't do any thing for children under 12 right now. The new CPSIA law makes it a $!00,000 fine and a felony to make something for kids under 12 without VERY expensive lead and phtaliate testing on everything you make. So pick teens or adults and you're safe. It really is a great community and I notice a lot of Utah residents are there.

I opened an in-home childcare when I wanted to be home with my boys. It's not something I'll want to do forever, but until our kids are all in school it lets me be with them and earn some money too.

I got some extra money, not a ton by being a mystery shopper. I did it through Corporate Research Internationl at http://www.mysteryshops.com &... I have done it for over a year, so it is totally legit. If you make more than $500 a year you have to report it for tax purposes... so I usually just do random jobs throuhgout the year but don't exceed that as I don't want to be slamed with taxes. I do pay my tithing on it though :) You could do more jobs and get more.. but I just like to use it for extra spending money.

the best way is if you have a skill that is easily marketable. Scrapbooking, making something, teaching something etc. If you are good at selling, there are a host of direct selling companies you can join - Tupperware, Avon, Direct Memories etc

There are tons of options out there. I decided on a travel company that I own my own online booking site. Then I can work when it's convient for me, not someone else. If your interested you can check out the details at www.traveltime.webs.com.

There are several companies in Utah that let you work from home. Try JetBlue, or ACS (it use to be known as Unibase). Been there, done that. I even learned to sew backpacks so that I could stay home with my youngest. I've also done the babysitting, piano lessons, house cleaning. My mother-in-law use to make and sell her hand-crocheted doilies and tablecloths. When my youngest went to school all day, I went back to the office. I now provide my family with health and dental insurance. My husband appreciates my wages, which is about a third of our monthly income.

During this economic time hearing the word real estate may seem frightening BUT if you are looking for "legitimate" then this is the best way I've found to create extra money now and set yourself up for life...have you heard of Nouveau Riche University? It is a community of educated and like minded real estate investors growing nationwide. My friend EmmyLou was on the verge of bankruptcy 2 yrs ago made 100K this year! I've averaged $500/month. So depending on how aggressive you'd like to be you can name your income. Contact me if you'd like more details. I'm an Independent Student Advisor which means I assist individuals in the start-up process. Don't wait to reply. Create a Great Day!

Medical transcriptionist and medical billing are two "legitimate" jobs I can think of. I teach piano from home. Do you have a skill you can teach. Some girls like to make and sell things: baby bracelets, headbands, baby clothes, blankets, etc. I know a girl who custom designs wedding invitations. She aslo hired a young mommy who assembles them from home. You could also try ebay. If you see a good deal buy a bunch and try to sell it for a profit. If it doesn't sell just return it. I heard of another lady who makes a lot of money by assembling 72 hr kits and selling them online. She gets her stuff in bulk for really cheap and sells it for a lot more. I know many of these ideas are not "legitimate," but good luck! It's hard to work from home, but I hope you find something you love!
