I am looking for any bookstores that I can go and look at books. I have found a number of books

on-line but...I wanted to flip through them and check the books out before I purchased them. Any suggestions?

I am also open to recommendations of books since I may have to just go for it and buy some on-line.

Thanks!!

Elizabeth

This isn't a children's book but I've heard Chely Wright's book Like me confessions of a heartland country singer is a great book. It's about chely's struggles to hide and then become the first lesbian country singer. I've read a few pages on amazon.com and I'm dying to read the rest of it.... I just don't know what stores to go to and get it.

Thanks so much for all the help.  Lillian is 4 and a half months so we are looking for some basics!  We do have the Tango book...it is our one and only...I will def. look into the other mentioned.  Thanks again!

Lambda Rising in Rehoboth is a gay bookstore- give them a call and see what they have as far as a children's section. not sure if they have a website, but I'll bet so. they also have a store in the DC area.

How old are your little ones? We have a bunch of LGBT books for our daughter...off the top of my head I can think of "And Tango Makes Three," any Todd Parr books, especially "The Mommy Book," "Molly's Family," "King and King," "The Family ABC," "Mom and Mum are Getting Married," the classic "Heather Has Two Mommies."

We love Tango, Todd Parr, Family ABC and Molly's Family. The others are cute too. Sometimes we just read books where we change the "daddy" to "mama" or whatever.

Hope this helps, if I look at home and find others I'll let you know!

There are two I can recommend that our girls love... one is The Family ABC, and then there is one with numbers (forgetting the titles and authors name) If I find them amongst the piles of books, I'll repost.
