How did you get pregnant?

Hi, I'm a single mom looking to get pregnant again...no, I'm not crazy, I'm just not willing to wait around for the perfect partner. I live in a small town where there are very few lesbians, so out of the few that I have to pick from, I'd need to find someone who was okay dating someone who had a child, and who had the same parenting style as me. So I'm not going to wait around. I'm not looking to get pregnant right now, I want to save up for a house first AND have at least $3000 set aside for the baby. I can't afford artificial insemination at $2500 a pop, I mean, what happens if it takes over 5 times to get pregnant? I'd be spending a fortune alone on just getting pregnant, never mind saving for a house and baby! And because I live in a small town, I don't know any man who'd be okay helping me out by flying solo into a cup for $50 a pop, kind of a home-kit artificial insemination. And I don't really want to pretend to date some guy and use him just to get a kid. Maybe I'm putting too much thought into this...but how did you get pregnant? If I traveled over an hour away to the city and did find someone, would I be able to ask for a complete medical history signed by a doctor so I'd know he's not lying?

My wife and I found a donor online who would do it for free. He had a website with all his information, medical history, etc. He even sent us his STD and blood screenings. Once we sent him my screenings (which he paid for), we told him when I was ovulating and he over nighted fresh sperm to us and we did an at home insemination the next day. I am currently 5 months pregnant and this will be our 3rd child, 1st child together. So just do your research. Good luck!

We asked a friend to donate, yah in a cup, and did the insemination at home ... it is not a medical procedure, not hard .... babies are made in the back seat of cars all the time .... our donor gave up all parental rights - we made it legal ... $3,000 for the baby? for the first year? $3,000 won't last long :)
