I have been married for 11 years and my husband and I have an 8 year son. I have always known or suspected that I was a lesbian, but now I know because I have met my soulmate in my best friend. We have decided to have a relationship, and I have recently told my husband that I am indeed a lesbian. What I am wondering is how to go about telling my son? Any advice please.

My wife had the same problem as you. I moved in in April and she realized that she was a lesbian. She has an 8 year old son and it was actually very easy to tell him He loved me from the start and actually called me mom cause his dad was a failure at life and baby sat him with the computer and twinkies which made him quite heavy. She told him the day that she made his father leave. He had known that his father wasn't nice at all because he got yelled at often but we explained to him that we loved eachother and he said he already knew because he saw his mom smile again. He says all the time "you're not gay mommies you're in love it doesn't matter who you're with you're still my mom" I think he is just plain cute. When he finds out i'm sure he will love your girlfriend just the same! Our son definitely did!
