New to this community. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Staciie. I have a nine year old daughter from a previous relationship when I was trying to be straight lol. Well at least one good thing came out of it =D...

My partner & I are enjoying, also anticipating the fact of having to raise an almost teenager. My partner has been in my daughter's life for technically three or four years i believe. We "Officially" became invovled almost two years ago (in November, yay us!). Survived a long distance relationship for 18 months....So being together in person all the time instead of once a month--is pretty much all new to us still.

My daughter had a hard time with us being a couple. She still has questions, but she is more accepting now. We only have to worry about the teenage years..so I hope this group has some answers for our questions lol. Oh and we plan on having a baby soon as we are both done school! We just don't know where to go to have it done tho, or the cost..we still have to look into it. Our clocks are tickin' lol. (hope not) Anyways, so yeah..Hi..and I gotta go now. Take care everyone

Hi
My child is eight. She understands that some people fall in love with women and some with men. She understands this like she understand that some folks have red hair and some have brown.

She knows a lot of other children with two moms, or two dads, or even one mom and one dad (odd, I know) - we know kids with step parents, foster kids, kids living with uncles and aunts .... so many ways to do 'family' and all are good. I have read many books to her over the years about family - families from around the world too.

But, Hi and welcome
