Ive had 3 vaginal births, and after 4 weeks I thought why wait! As long as your partner is slow and understanding, and no pain, go for it :)

I had a csection with my first little girl and a VBAC with my second, both times I waited less than the 6 weeks. Six weeks is the average wait because that is how long it takes for your uterus to return to it's normal "pear" shaped size. It is also very easy to get pregnant in those first six weeks so make sure you're using protection and/or contraceptives if you decide to go ahead with it! Be gentle the first time though it can be a little painful...Hope this helps and here's to a great and active sex life! :D

I waited until the day of my 6 week appointment. I wanted to have sex, but I had an episiotomy and a cervical episiotomy. So there was two places that needed to heal, and every time before that 6 weeks that we tried to have sex, it hurt really bad where they cut me. It's really totally up to you and if you think you can handle it, go for it. Just take it slow so you dont rush into a LOT of pain if it isnt comfortable.

Wow I waited 6 weeks and after the 6weeks I still didn't have a sex drive! My baby is now 4 1/2 months and I still don't have one. I haven't had a sex drive since my daughter was born 4yrs ago. I have sex with my hubby maybe 2 a week on good weeks! I do wish I could have the sex drive I had before kids!

I tore with all my kids, and had to have stitches inside and out. I think I waited 6 weeks with all of them. I would of done it sooner if I had been in love with my partner, but I wasnt.

ive had 2 c sections and i had sex at about 3weeks after i had both and i was fine just take it easy no crazy stuff lol

I am a single mother. I got pregnant with my son and had him, but there was no one around to even have sex with. I tore up the inner lip and that required 12 extra stitches along with my episiotomy stitches. Of course I was horny so I tried toys...and I was in SOOO much pain. So the toys were out of the picture, as were men. To this day it is very sensitive and it's not that it doesn't feel good, just a competely different sensation than before I had my son.

I am currently pregnant with my second son and am going to have him naturally as well, so hopefully my sensation goes back to normal...kinda counteracting each other! HAHA Wishful thinking...

But you all be careful lol or you will end up with a 9 month old and a new born! :)

As long as YOU!!! feel ready then its fine a doctor can't tell you when you are ready to have sex again me and my fiancee waited 3-4 weeks to make love again and it was just as magical than before we had our daughter who is now nearly 6 months old.
The doctor can only tell you how your healing and thats it but if you feel ready sit down and talk to your husband/boyfriend and tell them how you feel and ask them how THEY feel because sometimes its the men that are the ones who have the fear about having sex again after a baby for the fear of hurting the woman they love, sit down and talk to him and if you both agree you feel ready then do it slowly and softly... but most of all stop if either of you feel uncomfortable.

this makes me giggle, hahaha. After my 1st daughter was born (vaginally) we were having sex a week later. I was so in the mood but very scared b/c it was the first time after having her. It did hut for a few minutes but the pain passed and we were having sex on a regular basis. Then I went for my 6 wk checkup and found out I was pregnant, lmao. My daughters are 10 1/2 months apart!!!!!!! I had a c-section with my twins that are 18 months younger than my 2nd daughter and we had sex the night I came home from the hospital. It all depends on your body, so listen to it!!!!

Ive been on alot of different websites and asked the same question it all depends when you feel your ready to have sex again i didnt have a c-section but i had a nasty tear and me and my fiancee had sex about 2 weeks after our baby daughter was born she is now 5 weeks old, so it all depends on you really if you feel ready to have sex and comfortable to have sex then give it a try but sit down with your partner and talk about sex so you both no how the other one feels.

Sex is a special thing between two people in love and if neither of you feels comfortable then leave it till it feels right for both.

I also had c-section 31st august I had twin boys. We waited about the 3week mark, but only because i was terrified of my stitches tearing, I kne whtey wouldnt but i just couldnt get past it. Also my belly was still a little tender.

I dont know anyone that waited the full six weeks after baby was born to have sex. Its so hard to wait! Thats why we are all in the situations we are in now being mommies :)

wow i had my daughter vaginally and got a nasty laceration from forceps that needed and i was so horny the entire waiting period i was ready to jump at the chance about 6 1/2 weeks we went for it, it was quite painful at first but my husband really listened to what felt better and i was actually able to have an orgasm, something i did not expect! i didn't realize it was so different with a c-section, though it seems kind of obvious now lol

The question isn't whether or not anyone feels its ok. You know your body. I've had 3 c-sections so only you know your body. And what your capable of doing with it. But let me know if you want to know more

I also had a c-section, August 18th, im pretty sure I had sex like a day or 2 before my 2 week appt, luckily everything was good. I have my post partum/contraceptive appt the end of this month, so i have just been makin my bf pull out since we dont want another baby so soon. It doesn't hurt me, but if it does hurt you make sure you tell him. Listen to your body.
