Hello LA mommas,

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any great mommy and me groups in Los Angeles... I'm a working mom, but would love to participate in something if i could work it into my schedule. I live near the miracle mile area, across the street from The Grove, which btw has great mommy and me movies on the weekends!

The best Mommy and me classes in LA are at The Early Childhood Parenting Center in Santa Monica

the movies at the grove are actually in the theater... they show a movie on the big screen, but what's cool is they turn the volume down a bit so it isn't as scary, and they leave the lights on, and they set up a folding table so you can change your baby there without leaving the theater! Its very chill, people walk around with their babies and the bigger kiddos can run around and scream all they want...

they do have lots of concerts and fun things out on the grass too. they also have things like this at the americana in glendale :)

i checked out meetup.com and joined LA MILKS, but unfortunately most of their events are on the weekdays when i'm at work :(.

The Pumpstation has some great Mommy and Me groups. There is one in Santa Monica and one in Hollywood.

Hi there My name is Vera and I just joined the chat.... Kinda weird as this is first time chatting to anyone who may be out there. Anyhow just wondering if there would be like groups for my 4yr old daughter and myself to join in Glendale Calif. would love to meet locals who are stay at home moms who genuinely want to chit chat while kids have play groups. As you all can probably see I do not know how these types of meetings go or how they are created etc.... All I do know is that I need to make an attempt reach out to women who are in my shoes maybe to create friendships and or to meet women with children around my daughters age so she can start socializing on a broader scale. Maybe if anyone could provide me with 411 on meeting times and places....??? Thnx

Hi Moms,

I'm Keith Davis, and I am a basketball and player development coach in the Beverly Hills Unified School District. After playing professional basketball internationally for several years, I founded Davis Basketball Development, an exclusive training company employing hands-on coaching strategies to support students and professional athletes in improving the fundamentals necessary to excel in every level of the sport.

I'm hosting a series of youth basketball camps on July 29-31, Ages 8-15 boys and girls from 12pm to 3pm. The camp will be held at the Westside Jewish Community Center on Olympic Blvd in the Miracle Mile area for students in our community.

Visit DavisBasketballDevelopment.com for a general overview of my company's goals and objectives.

I would like to promote the youth camp to moms and dads in our area. My program is designed to be a positive role model for youth girls and boys. Any advice!!!

Thanks,

Hi ladies!
If you're looking for a fun activity to do with your kids, try visiting www.gsakickers.com
My sister and my niece attend their Mommy and Me soccer classes, and they both really like it. Just thought I'd past the info along.

Hi Annie,

I just started a meetup group... MOMs Travel Club. I plan on having all meetings on the weekend so please come and check it out because you may be able to meet some other moms there and find out about other play groups. Most of the groups I am in meet during the week.
What time are the mommy and me movies on the weekends? I'd love to go...

Hey Annie... movies at the Grove sounds SO fun! Does everyone sit in the grass? And do you just show up or do you sign up in advance? I'm so excited about this.

Funny, I just responded to another thread about Mommy and Me Los Angeles groups. I've been looking to meet new moms in the LA area so I checked out Meetup.com. One of the groups I have meet ups at least 3 times a week and they get together for girls night out on occasions too. I wish I knew about it when I was on maternity leave. I have yet to meet up with the ladies mostly because I work in OC and have been too tired to get out during the week. But I plan to attend some soon when I get over my cold! Good luck.
