Feeling anxious about vacationing without the baby.

My husband and are thinking of taking a 3 or 4-day vacation alone for our 4 year wedding anniversary this Summer. Our little girl is 2 years old now (who we LOVE like crazy!), but I'm afraid of leaving her with my Mom and Dad for so long. Not that I don't trust them. My Mom and Dad are fantastic with her. We've just never taken trips away from her, so this would be the first. I'm definitely feeling anxious about leaving her for so long and this is a trip we agree she shouldn't go on so that we can relax and just enjoy being a couple for a few days. We feel we haven't focused on just us since she was born.

When was the first time you went away for a trip without your kiddos with your significant other? Looking for advice on how I can ease the anxiousness about leaving her! Thanks!

vacation alone? wow, that would be nice. Our oldest is 12 yrs old and my husband and I have never gone on vacation alone since the kids have been bornWe have reasons though. My husband is in the military and we don't live near family and he gets deployed a lot, so our problem is time and babysitters. If your parents are willing to keep her, go and enjoy yourself. A vacation will do you good. It will relax you and you will be happy when you come back to your baby. She probably needs time away from you also. Let her bond with her grandparents. Enjoy yourself, just bring her a surprise back so she won't be mad at you. lol. Just know she is in good hands and nothing will happen. Good luck
