I just purchased a pair..I am actually waiting for them to come into the store. They were out of my size so I needed to order them. I wanted to know if anyone has them, or knows anyone that does. My mom just got a pair of the "low profile" type that aren't as high or rounded on the bottom. I got the original ones...she doesn't need to lose weight...she is just using them to shape her already beautiful dancer legs.

Do you think they work? Do you think they are a scam?

I had a coupon for 15$ and they were on sale Original price $110, on sale for $79. I got them for $64, I thought that was a steal.. I am excited to try them..just curious what you all think.

I bought my sketchers shapeups at costco..and my husband got a pair for men there as well after I had mine for a few weeks. I am super dooper pregnant and with my last pregnancy had aweful pains in my left leg which is affected with vericose veins...since I got the shape ups ..no pain what so ever.

My husband walks all of his 8 hr shift..and he has noticed that his back no longer aches and his feet don't hurt anymore. He stands straighter..no slouching.

I haven't lost weight LOL but I am pregnant..you know how that goes. The benefits have been far reaching for us both.

Mine defined my shins at least. That's about it.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

I had a pair of the re-tones and they definately put a lot of strain on my bum and legs but did they change my shape? not really, didn't help me lose weight either I just wore them while walking all the time and now the little bally parts are worn flat...total waste of money imo

Bone spur is a caclification of the bone. It can happen with mediocre foot wear, and damage to the foot. Google it. I would have a very hard time explaining it. It hurts like a mother fucker. When I stopped wearing them, it went away. I started wearing them again....and voila. It came back.

They have new and improved shape ups out now. my cousin Brooke Burke is endorsing them. Yes I am a relative of Brooke Burke's. I believe she is a second or third cousin. But any way back to the shoes who knows if the new ones are any good. I am still having luck with mine but that might just be me.

They suck. Don't get them and waste your money. I got a bone spur on my heal from wearing them.

oh sorry. didn't preface. it was a joke made on another thread about different ways we say stuff in canada and states but are same thing. here sneakers are more running shoes. sneakers are kinda 50s throwback I think.

My feet, once I lose all the weight, go back to the original size pre baby. I can wear 6-7 1/2 depending on the shoe. Usually just sneakers are 7- 7 1/2, heels about a 6 1/2, and any sandal is a 6.

No Yoga Vicki. I barely have time for a walk a few times per week. I relish in it when I do. And yes I wear my sketchers. I think they might hurt my upper back, but I can feel them working my hamstrings. They also prevent me from getting shin splints....I get them terrible. So all in all, if not just for shin splint prevention, I do like them.

LOL @ Vicki! my feet were huge too! It got to the point were I had to buy mens slippers to wear as shoes and at times they were too small.Heck I couldn't even wear socks! At that point I realized where the phrase"Barefoot and pregnant" came from.

I cannot believe either of you kaleigh or elizabeth can squeeze your feet into real shoes when far along. My feet were massive!

I have a pair with the two ball things one under the ball of the foot the other under the heel. Mine were working for a while but I got used to them so I don't think they're doing anything now. Then again I'm not walking near as much so thats probably why :)

I have heard that they can hurt peoples backs, I am guessing it is when you do not have good posture while wearing them. My posture has sucked since my pregnancy, and I have t focus on standing and sitting straight. I have noticed that my back will hurt after wearing them, like my upper back. i am still using them though.

I just started walking on my lunch break this week. I wore my shape-ups and I really do feel a difference. I too have muscular legs and I feel it burn in my lower back, abs, butt and throughout my legs. Also I noticed while wearing them my posture is better.

I really cannot tell a difference. I wear them everyday, but I have wicked muscular legs anyway, so not sure if they are doing much. They feel nice to walk in though. I have talked to other people that aren't as muscular already as I am, and they notice a big difference. I think I feel something when I do a 2 mile walk or more....it actually prevents me from getting shin splints. I get them terrible, and haven't gotten them since these shoes...so that is something worth checking them out for. Usually I will get shin splints the first couple of weeks of rigorous walking, and I haven't gotten them. Yippee!

I can't believe those things really work. I wore fit flops through last half of my pregnancy. feet were so fat and swollen and they were the only comfy enough things. didn't feel like getting a work out and they ae supposed to be the same idea (I think they were even out before sketchers). then again, didn't do a whole ton of long period walking as I was like a house (twin preg). keep us posted. you've got me curious.

Yeah, you feel drunk when you first put them on. I took my first official real walk with them yesterday, and I felt them more in my shins than anything...nothing is sore today. I did take it a little easy,....so tomorrow I go for another walk. I am gonna do the whole thing instead...wich is only about 1 1/2 mile. I have to work my way all the way back up to 2 miles...damn....to think I was walking 2 miles every day!

It feels weird when you use them the first time. I was tripping over my own feet lol.

Moday is gonna be the first real day that I get to use them.....I have gone to the grocery store in them...but not much more than that....I am hoping it helps.

I just bought a pair at Bob's Stores. They were on the clearance rack for $50. Also they are low profile and have an all-terrain sole. I have only worn them shopping so I could break them in while I wait for the rest of the snow to melt. I must say though they are comfotable.
