Hello Everybody,
Last sunday I found a bullseye bite on my 2 year old's ankle (The dot in the middle is not red but white, but I don't know if that matters). I took her to the doctor on Tuesday and she said that the bite looked very suspicious and to be safe she started my daughter on antibiotics (amoxlin and clav) for 10 days. Is this enough? My daughter does not have any symptoms yet. But I was reading that the treatment should be at least for 1 month to kill the bacteria. Besides, the bite is changing in color. Right now the white small circle in the center is about 1/2 inch and the red part is 2 inches, and before there were 3 distinctive rings instead of only 2.
Is this normal?
Thank you.
