My son is 5 months old and he has been exclusively breast fed since birth but I am leaving town for a work conference and I need him to take a bottle for my husband while I am gone for 4 days. Any suggestions on how I can wien him off me and onto a bottle?

Thanks for the comments ladies. I have tried using different bottles. I think I may need to just start having different people feed him with a bottle and me not be around because if he knows I am around he won't take the bottle.

Hi Stacy,
You may need to try different types of bottles. The problem is most likely the kind of nipple on the bottle you are using. Your son is used to you. So find a nipple that resembles you, as close as possible. Many women do well with the softer Playtex nursers.

Good luck!

You may have to pump first and give him that. I good way is to have him get used to Daddy before you leave by giving him a bottle and having Daddy put him on his chest while giving him the bottle. Hope that helps.
