How do you get websites bumped up?

I created a website for our business and I am looking at ways to get it bumped up in the search engines (including our blog). Does anyone have knowledge on this?

Three little letters : SEO --> Search Engine Optimization. I am by no means an expert, but occasionally someone from google and yahoo finds my etsy shop, so I imagine it's working a little bit. It's all in your key words, phrases, and links. Google, and other search engines, search your entire content, so make sure you have key words and phrases (those popular search terms) throughout the page. Also, search engines like links to link back, through, and around, so put them in. If it links to another post/item, great. If it links to your home page, great. It's a constant work in progress, so change it a little at a time, see what works, and keep up on trends! Oh yeah, and good luck!
