Hey Everyone!!\r\nWelcome to those that are new :) I know that January is a hard month for most in Direct Sales because of the holiday, and because it is just a flat out bad economic time! Continue to set your goals, and even if you don\'t \"hit\" them, it\'s better to try!! This is the last week of January, so finish let\'s finish this first month STRONG!! Get your planners filled for February. With Valentine\'s Day just around the corner, and moving into a new month, people are ready to shop just a little more. \"Shine in 2009!\" Open your mouths, set some goals, and set some dates! (Don\'t forget to set aside some time for your taxes too). Have a GREAT week!!

Look up COTM - Consultant of the Month network MeetUp groups!

I joined one in Ladera Ranch - $10/month to belong - 12 consultants in a group - one party a month (take turns being the COTM) - everyone has to commit to at least a $20 order...

Hello everyone. I love the inspiration! I would love to hear all about what everyone does.

A Little about me. I have been in the medical industry as the director of sales for a medical genetics company for many years making great money but I wanted to spend more time with my family (I have 3 kids) so I started looking at other opportunities. I found one that fits my skill sets well. I market science based nutrition products to physicians practices and implement wellness programs without them having to sell and drive revenue to their practice. We also just acquired the NASA space act agreement, which is a big selling point! Long story short take a look at my website and let me know what you think.

Good Luck Donna!  You can always have a regrand opening party of your own and invite family, friends, new and old customers to try to get some bookings.

Thanks for the encouragement. I have been having a really hard time getting anyone to commit to booking dates. On top of the economy we were supposed to move this fall and our orders were canceled I was not smart about it and had stop booking parties, now it is taking forever to get going again. So, I really appreciate the encouragement..

Thanks Angela..I hope everyone is finding success in the new year. And honestly I believe that Direct Sales are excelling past the economic woes, and really taking hold! I hope would that everyone doesn't loose sight of why they are doing their job. I would invite anyone in SWFL to check out a special tasting this weekend on an incredible business opportunity. Wow, January is an AWESOME time in Mary Kay!!  Everyone needs a New Year, New You Makeover!  We are not experiencing a recession here.  Paul Harvey said that he couldn't believe that lipstick sales were up, and that he guessed that women don't want to be ugly and broke!  Plus we're gearing up for some great Valentine's Day sales.  Hope everyone else has GREAT successes this year!

Congrats Angela!  I am new with AVON and have been with them only since late Sept. I am hoping to make presidents club ($10,000 in sales) by the end of March.  But I agree so far for me I am right on track with my goals, but have no past years to compare it to. Just started offing home parties and have 2 booked for February :)

Nope!!  I haven't felt the pinch either :)  As a matter a fact, I had 6 events last week and will close out 7 catalog parties this week.  I will promote to Director, and I'm earning the Scentsy incentive trip (January is the last month to qualify.  I think for others though, there can be a decline after the holidays and January can be slow.  I made a point to get things D.O.N.E. and start off the year GREAT!!  I'm glad you are having January success as well!!

Hi Angela,

Thanks for the words of encouragement.  January 1st I spent the day writing up this years goals and then broke it down by month and then by week and by day.  This helps me not get overwhelmed with the big picture and my daily goals are much more obtainable.

My upline told me that our industries have survived through many economic strains.  Direct Selling always holds, she said.  I can tell you that January has been my best month ever - I'm making Director this month!  But that being said, I want this last week of January to go out with a Big Bang!

Thanks for the pep talk!

Denise, I agree with you. People are spending money on what they want. The month is not over yet, but my combined downline are having their second best month yet so far. I am grateful for this business and the opportunity to work at my own pace while still being able to focus on my guys.

Vanessa, you are correct. "No" is an acceptable answer. As a matter of fact, I would prefer that over hearing people hem and haw and blame it on their husband that they cannot order/book a party/whatever. LOL. Keep up your attitude and keep spreading the word.

Angela, thank you for posting your message to offer encouragement to everyone. There is no reason that each of us cannot succeed, and each of our successes is based on what we each hope to accomplish.

Go, Us! 8^D

Hey Angela: Thanks for your encouragement but I must say I am not feeling the effects of the economy or the fact that it is january in my business. Infact December was my best month all last year and January is looking really good, so far. I am confindent that the products I sell are very important and people will buy them because they are a need instead of a want. I really appreciate your words though!

Blessings to you!
