Hi there!! I am new to this group but I have been a successful Pure Romance Consultant for over three years now. I have helped train well over 60 gals, and that is one of the most frequent questions I get. There are several things you can do:
1- create a facebook or myspace page and add friends-- and then add friends of your friends. As you know, your closest friends and family will be the first to disappoint you, however, people you do not personally know will not (usually).

2- hold an open house

3- go to a local meeting. If there are no meetings in your area, hold your own meeting for your downline if you have one (this will motivate all af you).

4- read an awesome book-- BUILD IT BIG is a great book for home business owners.

5-Set up at a trade show or womens expo- there might be a small fee but the leads you will get will jumpstart your business again for sure!

6- call ALL of your past hostesses, customers.... Tell them that you are so sorry that you havent kept in touch-- DONT give them an excuse :) Say something like this: Hi suzie, this is ____ with (company). Do you even remember me? First thing I;d like to say is Im so sorry for not keeping in touvh with you. thank you so much for being a preferred customer. I was calling to ask you a quick question. Would you be interested in getting $100 in free product (or whatever your special is). You are entitled to this as a preffered customer of mine. (yes-- book show, if no---- "thats okay, I really appreciate your past patronage, did you have any questions or concerns about your last purchase?) ...

If these ideas don't help, then maybe you need to find something else you are passionate about :)

Hi Lisa, I don't know much about the business you are doing but I find that remembering why I decided to do a home business is a good motivator. Do you have a strong reason why? Do you have it written down? Is there other people, support team that you can talk with. We meet weekly with our team either on the phone or for coffee and I find that is also a good motivator. We challenge each other and share struggles and successes. Setting and writing down specific goals. Are you someone who likes challenges. Challenge yourself to reach a certain goal. Are you passionate about what you are doing, do you like your home business. If not, it may be really hard to get motivated. Was it very successful when you were full swing? If it wasn't that may be a reason why it is tough for you to get motivated. You may want to look at another business that will inspire you. I absolutely love what I do so its fun and easy to do. If you need help trying to decide on another business I could send you a list of success factors you should look for when searching for a good company to partner with. Hope this helps. Start over with something that has a lot of financial potential and a lot of support. We all need that! I suggest treating yourself like a new consultant, which means talking to lots of people. well, actually all consultants should be doing that :)

if you have a list of past customers, perhaps a quick note letting them know you are going to be active in the business again. You could even sweeten the deal with some kind of special for past customers and hosts.

Set specific goals. Rather than saying "I'm going to make some calls today" say "I'm going to TALK to five people today". and then stick to it.

You can do it! That is the great thing about direct sales. The flexibility allows for "life" to happen!

I honestly dropped my new business when I had my second child and it was able to survive a good 6 months until I was able to get back in the swing of things. Getting back into it has to come from you and what you want to do - what does the business mean to you? I have now owned my own business over the first year and the hardest part is behind me! I had the same thing happen, due to personal I fell off the wagon of working the business side. I have just started getting on track, the biggest help was deciding the reason I want to do this and then setting aside specific times to work it and also educate myself. Just dont spend so much time on research that you don't actaully do anything with your business! Mine is able to be done by internet so it is just a matter of setting hours that I will do it!
Best of luck, and it is worth having your own business, you just have to get moving on it! Hope this helps!
