Hi Angie
I don't do parties with my business, which is is in the health and fat loss area but all the same comments made by these lovely moms above apply. Smile, laugh, enjoy, take the pressure off yourself. Even if you went and didn't sell a thing you will have just spent a wonderful time with some beautiful new friends. before you going in just stop and give thanks for at least 10 things in your life. You will go in with an attitude of gratitude and be a blessing and probably sell more just because of the joy that you share.wendy.marman@mac.com

Well. My first party was disappointing in terms of numbers of people. However, I have secured two weekly toddler groups, lots of interest in parties and should reaching my first target to get some extra free books. May also have managed to get a stall at a local monthly pamper evening. So it seems pretty positive at the moment. Thank you so much for your supportive comments I am feeling pretty good about my new venture. I wish you all luck with yours! x

Good for you!! I am so happy to say I too am with Usborne Books!! My 2 year old LOVES Usborne Books. Put your books out and let everyone go through them. I find people are more likely to buy with they are allowed to experience what you have. One book I think you need to get if you don't have it already is The Little Book of First Experiences, this is my son's favorite book, and it's well worth. I always tell people that we have over 2000 titles and of those over 700 are under $10 Canadian. You'll have to check on those numbers for your area. Tell them about the Bind Ups. The ones I really like to tell people about are the other little books that are the collections of Farmyard Tales Train Stories. They are $10.95 Canadian, and have a handful of stories in them. I take those to all my shows and people love them. They are a really good deal and great for at grandparent's house, taking on car trips, etc. Usborne Books are well known and well loved throughout the world. Good luck and I hope you love the books as much as I do! If you have any questions or need any support at anytime, message me, I'd be glad to help.

relax and take it as it comes. Have fun with it. You cant prepare for everything, but you can come across as knowledgable and helpful even if youhave to get back to someone on a question, people appreciate the honesty! My first party as an Arbonne consultant was terrifying, but I had a great time and that made it that much better! Now if I could just get the parties rolling in, lol!

Hi Angie,
One thing I have learned from being in direct sales is that people appreciate honesty. If you have a goal or are working towards something, share it without making them feel pressured.
I am very passionate about my business as a Mary Kay Consultant and Future Director with the company and it shows. I tell people what my desire it and they appreciate that.
So on tomorrow, be calm, be confident, know your products and the benefits of your business and you will be just fine.
