are there any products from another company that you love. that's a great place to start. I've had it happen to me and I just had to let my customer base know it was gone and what I was doing now and that they could expect the same great level of customer service. They might even be so excited for you that they might host a grand opening party for you. Good Luck!

this has never happened to me but here are some ideas to get a new biz started once you decide what you want to do :) make sure you contact all of your contacts and let them know that the company closed. Figure out what biz you want to venture into and if it is similar to your previous one have an open house for it and invite all of your contacts from your previous biz. i dont think that is wrong to do since they gave your permission to invite them to things and keep them informed about the biz. worst thing that can happen is someone asks you to not send them any info. Plus i am sure that your good friends and family will help you get started with something new :) good luck!

I started from scratch by going somewhere that I knew. I am with 31 now and love it. I started buying from a consultant and using the stuff to carry around my product, and then then place I was with changed the way things were done, and it wasn't for me. I made the move to 31 and love it! It was easy to network because I had a client base that trusted me as their consultant. I sent and email to them showcasing my new company! The good knews is you alreay know how to run a direct sales company so your a step a head of most new consultants...Choose a company that has products and a mission statement you stand behind. It's hard for sure, but if you are in direct sales- you are a fighter and hard worker! Brush yourself off and find something you love.
I found fibi and clo. A sandal design company that sells direct and at in home parties.
they are gorgeous! Between the design and price point- They truly sell themselves!

I have heard of this happening lately. I wouldn't no what to do but thats why I am not worried about DOVE Chocolate Discoveries. Since we are backed by Mars, Inc.
The best thing i would suggest is find something you Love and start talking to everyone, family, friends past hosts with old company to let them know about your new venture. Good Luck!

I would consider a buisness that has been around for along time. I am with Marykay which has been around since the 1960s. If you wan tto check it out go to http://www.marykay.com/ymedina01 Also if there is products that you liked from the company you were with find a similar company but has been round for at least 5 years or more.

Hey Samantha it is Jennifer from Facebook how are you? I am sorry to hear about your business that really stinks. Personally though you have an amazing opportunity to go crazy with a new opportunity because you have the experience and have learned many of skills it takes to do direct sales no matter what company you choose so you have a head start just from your past experience.

So I am sorry to hear that. But I can help you big time! My first question to you is, were you in a mangers position? If you answer yes, you can come into the direct sales company that I am with at a mangers position! The company I am with is Jewels by Park Lane. You can then bring in your downline, because trust me once you hear about all of the perks you will be grinning from ear to ear. Your downline will see that and then want to join. There is so much to the company I cannot explain it all here.
Park Lane is a family owned buisness out of Chicago and has been in buisness since 1955. It is in the 2nd generation of the Levine Family. I love the customer program and hostess program they are in place all the time. Occassionally, the family may add to them but NEVER take anything away.
The jewelry is amazing! We have jewelry in the price range from $10-480, with the bulk being in the $30 range. I am from Richmond, KY take a look at the company web page and contact me if you have questions.

I agree with all the posts.....if you have a downline take it with you. If you have a good customer base do the same. You have worked hard to build the business and relationships. Your customer base will stay with you. Many times it is more about the relationship.

Hi Samantha, I work for the number 1 natural nutrition company in the United States, Shaklee Corp. Anyway, I am sorry to hear what happened to you. One of the bad things about some of the direct marketing companies are they are upstart companies that don't have a history.
Shaklee has been in business since 1956 and sells natural supplements, healthy weight loss, natural skin care, and green cleaning products. They believe in the concept of social marketing and have one of the most lucrative sales plans in the industry. My family has been with Shaklee for 26 years and my daughter will be starting her own business next year when she turns 18. Many people with Shaklee are 2nd and 3rd generation. That says alot about the company! I urge you to check out any company that you are interested in working with as many that are just starting will fold or will not be managed properly.
I always tell people that are exploring their options to do their homework and research before making a decision. You put to much time and energy into building a business to lose it because of mismanagement.
