seriously ... I wish I had know about it with my first born .. she was so colic it was ridiculous. I think the idea is a god send. With my luck now I am do in a few days with my 3rd and am totally prepared with the binders and she will most likely be colic free (LOL) oh well I rather be prepared than NOT.

I remember my Tia using this on my cousin's baby but I never used it on my boys. I think I would use it if I had really colic prone babies.

My grandmother (ecuadorian) baby sat my now 10 yr old son when he was just born... He was super colic and I came from work one day to see him bound up. It threw me off at first but I started doing it also and saw improvement. She used to wrap a half dollar in medical tape and slip it in the band also. It helped to keep his belly button from over protruding. I have passed this along to many moms who do it now. I am preg with my 3 rd now and plan on binding. You can buy the bands in conway or make ur own using cloth diapers... Justcut them down and sew the edges.

I've heard of them but never used one on my son. Supposedly if the baby cries too much his belly button will turn into an outtie instead of an innie. Don't know how much truth there is behind that, but I never used one on my son and he has the cutest innie. : ) It could just be a cultural thing, hence why you don't find them in major department stores.

Hola Chicas,

I'm currently 38 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my 1st, I had never seen or heard of a baby binder before my mother purchased them for me. I plan to use them, of course, and am surprised to see that none of the major baby department store carry them. When I ask the associates, they have no idea what it is i am asking for!!! lol

No I haven't seen those before. As far as colic and stuff we had the baby drink anise in the bottle. I also BF the first few weeks so I didn't have the colic issue with any of my 3 girls. I did wrap the babies real tight when they were small. In their blankets. But for me I have had three girls I never used the jujuband.
