HELP....MY BABY WON'T GO TO SLEEP AT NIGHT

Hello Everyone,

My baby is 7 months old and does not want to go to bed at night. When I put her in the crib, she sits or stands up. Ever since she first stood in the crib, she does not want to stop standing. LOL!!She will fall asleep after ten o'clock pm. and pretty much by me forcing her to. She may nap once or twice a day for no more than 1 -11/2 hours. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My.son is 7mo old an he only takes naps about 2hr through out the day an won't go to bed at night if I put him down anytime befor midnight he's up an reprint till 2an no matter what..coups someone point me right please

Desperate for my poor daughter to get some sleep---her little one fights sleep, too, and even cries with her eyes closed at some point. Then she wakes up on and off throughout the night. She was sleeping through quite a bit before moving my house until they move into their new home. The letter her cry hard is not an option....so will continue to read here to see what can help. I try to take over in the mornings but my daughter hasn't had a sleep through the night since months before the baby was born. I never had this much problem with babies waking up with my three.

We have the same problem andwe dont know what to do; our son has 9 months, and is becoming every time more and more difficult to get him to sleep; he is constantly crying, struggles to keep his eyes open, it is a crazy situation....

I tried letting her cry herself to sleep and she vomited. No more Ferberization for us. It might be right for some people, but it felt really wrong for me not to comfort her. We're going to ditch that particular approach.

Nap time is important for babies that small but u just try to regulate what time she is taking the nap. Getting her in a routine also helps. My son gets up about 9, has a nap 1 - 1 1/2 hrs at noon and 5, bathtime around 8p, so by 9pm he is usually wore out and ready to go to bed. The bedtime products from J&J really seem to help him relax around bedtime too. Hope this helps!!!

what's your bed time routine? and what time does it start at? i have a hard time with my lil one if we don't do his bed time routine and we just started it.

I'm having the same prob w my 7 mo old. Just got a book that suggests a 6:30pm bed time plus 3-4 hrs of nap time. We're going to give it a try tonight.

Have you tried giving her a warm lavender bath, then rocker her, dont let her lay by herself. Thats what I used to do with my son when he was a baby. Now he won't go to sleep cause he's too into his Wii/DS/DVDs. LOL so I have to ground him at night. Last night I went to bed at 5AM and Im 8.5 months pregnant. LOL
