Hey ladies! I need a littlw assistance. My hubby and I are going on vacation in April to Puerto Rico with our princess...for the first time! She'll be 16 months by that time and I need a little help with planning for her. I am a first time mom and I don't have the first clue about travling on a plane and staying in a hotel with my baby. Do we bring her pack and play or does the hotel supply a crib? Are we going to pay a fortune bringing her stroller and car seat or should we rent? HELP ME PLEASE!

Hey one thing i would recomend is give her some Tylenol before takeoff then the milk or juice but milk is better its more heavier for her. take the stroller but not the carseat or if you want call the airline and say its attached to the stroller and see if its ok with them. And also call the hotel and ask them for the playpen or a crib they should have one and take an extra blanket for the plane she should fall asleep as soon as they are taking off or as soon as you are in the air if not take some toys for er to entertain herself with for the flight....and have a good trip!!!!

Oh one more thing when in PR get Dasani water for the baby its safer!!!

Hi,
Relax traveling with such a small one can seem overwhelming but it's not. First, on the take offs and landings make sure you have something in her bottle for her to drink. It will help her eardrums and lessen the crying. Secondly, most hotels have portable cribs or pack and plays to your child to sleep in. If you are not sure I would call that hotel and find out what is available. You should be able to carry her on your lap while on the plane. If you need added security you can pay for an extra seat to sit her in on her car seat. As far as the stroller most airport let you go right up to the gate with it. Then, they tag it and put it under the plane. When you land it is usually waiting for you.
When you call the hotel find out if they have a fridge (for the baby food).

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

I HAVE TRAVELED WITH MY 17 MONTH OLD SON THREE TIMES BY PLANE. WHEN HE WAS 4 MONTHS OLD, HE SLEPT MOST OF THE TIME IN MY LAP AND I CHECKED THE CARSEAT AS LUGGAGE. I GAVE HIM A BOTTLE AND KEPT A PACIFIER IN HIS MOUTH MOST OF THE TRIP TO HELP WITH PRESSURE ON HIS EARS. WHEN HE WAS 9 MONTHS OLD, IT WAS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME ROUTINE, HOWEVER THIS PAST WINTER, HE WAS ALMOST 17 MONTHS AND VERY ACTIVE SO THE PLANE RIDE WAS EXTREMELY CHALLENGING FOR ME AS I WAS BY MYSELF WITH HIM. HE DID NOT WANT TO SIT STILL (HE IS VERY ACTIVE ANYWAY)... I TRIED TO KEEP HIM STIMULATED WITH BOOKS AND TOYS BUT HE DID NOT SLEEP. THE FLIGHT WAS ONLY ABOUT AN HOUR AND 20 MINS. BUT THAT'S A LONG TIME WITH A WIGGLE WORM ON YOUR LAP..LOL IF YOU ARE TRAVELING WITH ANOTHER ADULT, IT WILL BE EASIER. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS AS I ALWAYS STAYED WITH FAMILY BUT I AM SURE THEY HAVE AMMENTIES FOR BABIES, CALL AHEAD. THE MORE ORGANIZED YOU ARE AHEAD OF THE TRIP, THE SMOOTHER IT WILL GO. GOOD LUCK!
