My little boy is completely potty trained in the day and has been for sometime now. But he still wears a nappy for bed.

I've stopped fluid intake from 6pm and watched what he drinks leading up to 6pm, get him to go on the toliet just before he gets in bed. But he is still wetting in the night - I don't want to lift him on the toliet in middle of the night as he doesn't sleep well and I'm afraid once I've woken him he won't go back to sleep. Is this the only way??

Or is he just not ready??

My son Andrew still wears pull ups at night and he will be 5 in march. The Dr. told me that some children cant controll their bladder untill they are older.

My daughter is the exact same way. She has been potty trained for ever a year now and just doesn't seem ready to be nighttime trained yet. Every now and then I wonder but i've decided that when she's ready, we will both know

I've not even tried yet properly trying to stop him drinking so much is proving harder then I thought.

I think the general thought is that it's not bedwetting until 5 years old. My dd has been potty trained since 2 1/2, (now 3 1/2) and still wears a pull-up at night. I really don't think she's ready to go all night yet. I worry a little, but my thought is that I can't force to do do something while she's sleeping, and I don't want to start waking her up every night just to go potty. If she doesn't get it in a year or so, then maybe I'll start waking her up to go. Good luck!
