Hello! I am a mom to a boy named Alexander. We live in Wisconsin and he keeps me very busy! I work part time so I've been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with him. His dad works out of town a lot. (We've seen him 4 days since Nov 1st.) I find myself getting frusterated very quickly because I am doing the parenting myself. Any suggestions for a fun game that my son and I could play together (other than color, read or watch movies?) I need to switch things up a bit.

I live in Wiconsin too. My kids love the snow. I pull them around in sleds and push the sled down the hill. It's fun for them, plus mom gets a workout with out going to the gym!



Buy some paint and let him go wild on white paper. Just make sure to put him in old clothing or put 1 of your old shirts over him. My little daycare kids love when I paint their hands to make animals. For Christmas make raindeer with his hand and a Santa sliegh from his foot.

Dancing! My 21 month old loves when I hold him and dance around. He also likes Ring-around-the-Rosey. He really likes the part I learned working at a daycare...when you are on the ground, from falling, we sing "the cows are in the meadow eating buttercups thunder, lighting we all stand up" When we are singing this we pat our hands to the ground. My favorite times of the day are when I start dancing and my little ones join me on there own without being told to. I you make a big deal about dancing and look happy your son will want to do it too.
