you could try a night light/ let your little one sleep with their own flash light. Check the bed with them before bedtime and say a prayer. Even if you aren't religious, you would help them feel better :)

my son has a fear of a tiger in his room (like he starts crying and points to one) so I can totally relate! I think in the end I just keep saying there is no tiger there or it wont hurt you it just wants to play :) this went on real bad for about a month until finally it just wasn't a problem anymore he does still have the occassional time he runs inside looking behind him saying the tiger is out there - but not too often - children with great imaginations huh LOL :)

i have just been watching super nanny and she was dealing with this same problem wit a little girl, she kept wetting the bed as she was too scared to get up as she was terrified of monsters...they bought fairy wands and fairy dust and made up a magic spell banashing all monsters from the house...they went into every room in the house and then blew them out the front door..alot off fun and getting rid off a fear in one!! hope that helped!!

We let our daughter watch Scoobydoo and she has her own scooby dog. When she got scared of monsters we told her scooby scares them away. It worked and now she watches scooby but is not afraid of the monsters...don't know if that will help

the monster spray (water in a spray bottle) is a great one! worked with my kids as well as putting stuffed animals around them in their bed, it made a protection kinda fence, and they LOVE it!

i have a almost 3yo and 5yo girl's who like to battle the monster's in their room. i have found if i empower them with tools of their own they are able to fight these monsters!! my youngest daughter likes to bite the monster's with her strong teeth and sometimes she chooses to kick them also....but there are also days when they are friendly monsters and we befriend them. it just depends on what the monsters are doing on the particular day.
this has helped my girls alot!!!

Go on a monster/ dragon hunt like you are knights and she is the princess or take the legs off the bed and just let the box and mattress be on the floor. you can also use a spray bottle of moster repellant, I used water and some of my perfume that our youngest girl liked the smell of.
