My daughter was eating baby food for a long time. We still give her an occasional jar when she doesn't want to eat (she's a terrible eater). We always offer toddler food first, and save the jars as a last resort. She goes through phases. Sometimes jarred baby food is the only vegetables she'll eat, so we just do what we can to make sure she's getting some good nutrition! Does your baby have many teeth? Kayla was a late teether, and still only has 4 teeth on the bottom (her two front teeth, then a big gap, then her first molars on each side. Sometimes she gets frustrated when she chews for a long time on something.

James was not on baby food for very long at all. He saw his 2 yr old cousin eating table food and that was it no more baby food for him.

We pretty much feed our daughter what we eat. Every now and then we will give her baby food, like if she is sick or teething and doesn't want the hard things to chew. Gerber makes toddler foods. Have you tried those?

My daughter refuses anything that she can't chew, since I have left over baby food I try to mix it in soups & the fruit flavors in pancakes. the rest are going to the local food pantry. I generally cut up table food into small pieces as well.

I occasionally give my son some baby food 'desserts', thick fruits, or peas as a bedtime snack. Most of the time he is eating whatever his sisters and I have or his toddler snacks.

dd hasn't eaten much baby food since she was about a year old. from the time she started getting teeth, i gave her table food. i still keep some single serving containers of applesauce, etc. around, but i never bought into the "toddler" sized food products. regular food, cut into small pieces, serves the same purpose. try things like yogurt, cottage cheese, peaches, pears until she gets the hang of it. try giving her a spoon or fork. my daughter loves eating with a fork!

My Son refused to eat any baby food around 13-14 months old.

He even gets cranky when I try and spoon feed him oatmeal. The new routine with that is I take a little scoop, hand him the spoon, he feeds himself, then hands the spoon back, repeat until finished.

He's even to the point he will throw anything we break into small pieces (ie french fries) onto the floor until we give him a whole one to chew on (we remove the crunchy ends but that's it).

We cook for ourselves and try and make meals he can eat too, or have toddler friendly foods (ie deli meats, crackers, cheese strings) for when we want to have spicy foods or something.

Perhaps a big part of it is he has ALL of his teeth except 4 molars (apparently his 2yr molars). He started popping them early and just never stopped. If your daughter has the teeth, and the skills maybe let her operate the spoon with some help or give her some small pieces of bun or such.

i keep some baby foods on hand for those times that income is short because it keeps well and has long exp dates. my daughter doesn't seem to have issues eating it, also sometimes if she is having irregularity issues it can sometimes help with that issue.
