We are having an ALL STAR themed party...our invite list is up to like 65 people right now so I decided to move the party from our house to the park down the street. My husband is going to cook some briskets on a big bbq pit, the kids that will be at the party (although it will mainly be adults) have a playground to play on and if the adults want to play some sand volleyball there is a court there as well. Oh and my cake is going to be a sheet cake with some cupcakes on top in the shape of a baseball field (minute maid park to be exact) so I figured that would be so great for the little kids instead of them having to deal with a fork and plate. Jr is going to have his special little cake in the form of a baseball too! :)

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

We're throwing baby girl a cupcake themed party. the site www.1stwishes.com has such great things for it. It probably won't be warm, so we've planned for an indoor event with all of our family and friends at a community center. Very basic, but we're on a budget. Between me, my mom, my sisters and my mother-in-law we're doing the food, ziti, eggplant, salad, fruit chips/dip, sandwiches and of course CUPCAKES! I'm making a big 3D cupcake cake, but that's mostly for pics and for the baby. Cupcakes are so easy and make serving easy. For the kids (we have kids age 1-13 coming) we'll save a few undecorated cupcakes for a "decorating station" with icing, sprinkles, etc. We're also bringing a tv and an old playstation with simple games, like mario kart, etc for the older of the kids. I have the sqare alphabet foam mat at home that I'm bringing to put down in an area for the little kids wtih some toys. Though we have no where to put it I think a pinata is a great idea. I love the ones that have the strings instead of having to bust it open.

I'm having my son's 1st b-day at a hall where I live. His theme is jungle animlas. I have older children coming as well so I am making to sets of goodie bags. In the younger bag (under 2) I'm putting animal cokies and bubbles. For the older bag I'm putting bouncey balls, bubbles, candy and maybe one more toy. I found good stuff at orientaltrading.com and at the dollar store. Hope this will help with some first birthday party ideas!!!

Just staying at home with family. I work so I'm booking the day off so we can spend some time together without having to squeeze in housework, shopping, etc. Bliss

We don't have a theme really. His invitations have a blue crown on them for a Prince. The lady I order cakes from didn't have a crown so we did a clown and a bear.  I think we are gonna order a big sub, chips and maybe a few salads and then have cake and ice cream. The cake lady is making him his own personal cake :o)  Should be lots of fun!! We will have the party on his birthday~March 21.

I love the Princess Theme, will probably do every year accept this year! This year it's really about all the rest of the kids, my daughter won't really know what is going on accpet that there are lots of fun kids at her house! We were thinking about getting a bouncy - but still unsure. If not, a clown that does face painting. It's on a Sat, from 1-3- so it's really short and sweet. I put on the invite cake and ice-cream, so most will probably do a stop-by to say hi!, and get their dessert.

My daughters 1st birthday is March 13 but thats on a Friday so we are having her birthday party on March 15th at a community building that we have in our town. It only cost a little bit of money to rent. We are expecting over 50 guests so we needed more room than our house. She is going to be having a princess theme party and I ordered the supplies off of www.1stwishes.com and got great deals on things! She will be having her own princess cake and we ordered another one for everyone else. We are serving cake, ice cream and punch. Im not giving out goody bags. I am putting bowls with toys in the middle of the tables though and the kids(her cousins) can pick which toy they want. The will also get a balloon when they leave! Hope this helps you!

We will be celebrating Addison's first brithday on March 21st (the saturday after her actual birthday which is March 19). We've invited our friends and family to come to the park and have hot dogs, potatoe salad, coleslaw, chips, sodas and cupcakes. I plan on making Addison her own cake to play in and for photos. Im going to bring bubbles, some frisbees, a football and baby toys so there's something for all ages.

I am thinking of getting a hotel room, there is one here that has awesome kids pools. there is one that the water is 2 feet deep at the deepest with slides and foutains and things, another one for bigger kids (older cousins is what we are thinking about) with a huge water slide and one of those things that you have to balance on in the water (I'm blanking the name right now sorry) and a large hot tub. It's call The Seven Seas I don't know if they have them all over or if they are just local. I hope this helps

Whatever you do, do it BIG! Lots of family and friends...you only have the first one once! If you live somewhere it will be any kind of warm outside, I think bbq with the whole fam is a great idea. If you are still hibernating for the winter then see how much you can rent meeting space in a hotel or restauant and have lots of balloons and streamers. Let the #1 be your theme, make T-shirts, #1 cake, etc...Good Luck!

good question... I need help with first birthday party ideas too. We'll be celebrating our sons first birthday in a few weeks and I have NO ideas... YIKES!

We have a tradition in our family now to do a teddy bears picnic for the childrens first birthdays. A teddy bear shaped cake, some bubbles, and fruit platter / crackers. Invite family and ask them to bring something along, like a game or plate of food. make it easy so you can relax and have fun with your baby as well as inexpensive.

Good luck and happy birthday to your little one for the big day!
