wow he made it this long without bumping his head before. Congrats! My son who is 9months has bumped his head countless of times and I know this is just the beginning. Personally the only time I would worry is if he lost consciousness, and if the fall was a big one ( I.e. down the stairs.) If he starts to get lethargic and not himself then def take him in.

I'm very glad to hear it! I think some bumps and bruises hurt us more than they hurt the baby. If your little boy is anything like my little girl, it won't be the last bump! After scratching her nose in a laundry hamper this weekend, my girl now has the nickname "Bruiser" at daycare.

Thanks, He is really doing fine. He was happy in a few minutes and playing like normal but it really scared me. It got a bump, but then after I put the cold compress ( 3-4 times ) and it went away.no bruise.

My daughter just did this a few days ago - whacked it pretty good on her crib (she's figured out she can stand up in there). Like one of the prev posters said, keep a cold compress on it. Her bruise went away after a couple of days. I suppose this is just the beginning of the bruises and bumps!!

My baby bumped her head a few weeks ago. Hers happened at night, so I was more worried about putting her to sleep. But, after a few minutes she was playing like normal. Is your little one showing any signs that are not normal? That's when I would worry. But, being a Mommy, if you feel that it should be looked at, then have it checked out!
