My son is about 27-28 lbs. Is that a good weight for him to be at? We have a check up in a month, but I just want to be sure he's on the right track! He loves to eat, so I know he's eating enough.

I just took my daughter in for a checkup, and she weighed in at 43 pounds.... she is tall, same height as her cousin that is a year older, and very active.

My son now is 35 lbs (maybe) and like 40 inches. He might be on the normal or average size.

It all has to do with the height of your child. My daughter is 42lbs (which is A LOT) but with her height the way it is she wouldn't be healthy at 28lbs and she would just be skin and bones.

I know my son is a big boy, but reading these posts made me feel like he is a giant. We were at the doctor yesterday. He is 48" and 55 lbs. Everyone calls him the linebacker because he is a solid and very active kid.

My son is 42 inches ans weighs 39lbs. I would judge if he's on the right track by looking at him proportionately. : )

I am sure he is on the right track. My DD is a tiny little petite girl. She weighs about 24 lbs and 34in tall at her 3 yo checkup! She is no where near the growth chart but her ped is not concern at all. Her doc is more concern about her growth from year to year than her weight right now.

My daughter has been hovering around 27-30lbs for probably about a year and her doctor is not concerned. they are active at this age so they are working off all their calories. no worries!

Rocco just had his 3 year check up today and he was 31.5 lbs- 50th percentile and 36.5 inches. I was surprised since he is so picky when it comes to food!

My son is 37 pounds and he is 39 inches tall. Everybody thinks he's almost four, and sometimes I think, it catches me off gaurd too and I expect him to act and do more things kids his size are expected to do. I'm working on it, though! He's a tough little guy, anyways!

My daughter is 31lbs but in the 90% for height. As long as he's eating don't worrie about the weight. The dr will tell you if he thinks there is a concern. Most of the time I don't pay attention to the % because that's not my child. And every child is different. Don't stress. :)

yeah, he sounds excellent... my kids run in the 90th percentile, and my toddler is 34 lbs. She's pretty tall, too, and is in 4T both in length and waist.

Im not sure what the average proper weight is for this age, but my son is exactly 27-28 lbs. as well so I think hes right on track. My son is thin but hes tall so I think it balances him out. As mother, we notice if they're eating right or not and my pediatrician always tells me that should matter more than comparing him to the average statistics. A mother knows her child best.

My son is around 33 lbs and I have a growth chart, that says its certainly fine.Dont worry too much, I suggest you obtain a growth chart as well so you can monitor your child's growth and take actions as soon as needed.

My son Damen will be 3 on March 23rd. He is 46 pounds and 41" tall. He is definitely a big boy. He is not chubby just very tall for his age and solid.

My son weighs 26lbs, his peditrician says that he is at a normal weight. He eats good and is very active. He was born four week early and is smaller than most two years olds, but the doctor says that its ok so I'm ok with that.

My son is about 32-34 lbs. and about 38 inches tall and very active. I think as long as the child is eating and playing a lot it should be okay.

My son is 32 pounds but measures nearly 40 inches tall. Each kid grows at their own pace. Your doctor can confirm that yours is growing just fine. Our doctor told us that after the kids reach 2, they sort of level off on the growth spurts. Hope this helps. Try not to worry.

My daughter, 2 1/2 years, is (and has always been) tall and slender at over 3' and 35 lbs. As long as he is happy and healthy I wouldn't worry.

my daughter is about 27lbs, and I have always had trouble getting her to eat. She must get more in her mouth than I realize!
