Hi everyone,

Welcome to the March 2008 Babies community, where we chat about our March 2008 children and whatever else is on our minds!

To get things started, I thought it would be nice if we all introduced ourselves in this thread, which will be pinned to the community home page. Whether you're a Circle of Moms veteran or you're new to the site, let us know who you are, what you’re interested in, and what your lovely March 2008 child is up to right now, developmentally speaking!

Hi everyone

My name is Annah and my 19 month old Zoe is so cute. She takes her nappy off and asks for a panty. I decided to potty train her knowing that she's so polite. She know's everything and everyone and she eats on her own, it doesn't matter what her has in her bowl, she always asks for a spoon. My best part is that she talks in her sleep.

Hi, my name is Kelly. My March baby is Aiden. He is all boy and quite the handful. He has a big sister (Megan 4 1/2) which he copies endlessly. She just started school and Aiden is having a hard time adjusting to her being gone. He talks a lot, walking, running and making messes! He has been a Thomas the Tank Engine fan from about a year old and now can name the engines better than me!

My March, 2008 baby, Allison, joined our March, 2002 baby, Grace. I am surrounded by Pisces! Allie was walking at 11 months, but is not talking much. Since Grace was speaking sentences at 1 year (and hasn't stopped in the 6 years since) I don't worry about Allie. She'll talk when she's ready, or her sister stops long enough for her to get a word in! LOL! Allie is the daredevil of the two, and climbs anything she can, especially chairs. She is very observant and tries to imitate Grace and other big kids she sees. She is very active and is on the go every moment she is awake. I am a stay at home Mom, so we are joined at the hip--literally, I carry her on my left hip.

I am Shauna and I have a son born in March 2009. He's a real pistol. Busy, busy, busy! He was broken off the bottle around 14 months, but still has a devotion to his pacifier. I'm going to work on breaking him of it next week, when our house guests are gone. He'll be close to 19 months, so it's definitely time. He doesn't talk much, except his gibberish language, but says the basics, Mama, ball, hot, bye. Maybe once the binky is gone, that'll expand. He likes to take off his diaper lately! He's a spectacular climber. There is nothing he won't work on climbing and getting into. I just adore this little guy and he keeps me on my toes.

I've been an at home Mom, but may head back to work soon. I've enjoyed all my time with my son. We have horses, so we spend alot of time out there. I enjoy all things outdoors, fishing, hiking, riding, etc.

We live in Illinois and my husband is studing to be a Pastor. We are trying to have another child but the process is slow. It took us a year to get prego with David. Im looking forward to talking to more moms with children the same age as mine.

I'm Yvonne and Madeline is my March baby. I also have Logan, who was born this past July. Having two in 15 months isn't as hard as I thought it was going to be, at least not yet! Maddy constantly amazes me with all the things she knows, and the words she can say. She's shown some interest in potty training, but it's going very slowly. She's very stubborn and will not give up until she can accomplish what she's trying to do.

I am Jill and my little Marsh and I live with our family in Michigan and the colors are just starting to change. I have 14 yr old son that we are adopting, that we are considered 'fictive kin' to. We raised him through first grade and then his mother reappeared and within a year, HE had dissapeared. Four years later we discovered him in foster care and got him back home with us. As soon as we were back together as a family again, I finally became pregnant with my own at 32 years old! Marsh is just now walking and catching up on the skill fast! Alas, today I discovered the crayon end of something that looked like a weeble wooble crammed into his mouth, and thus his teeth, sigh.

I think that I WOULD love being a stay at home mom if I wasn't so constantly worried about bills and student loan bills and keeping a roof over our heads. That's hard.

She is very much a little diva. All of kids personalities are very different, but I have to say she takes the cake. She seems to have no fear, except of the vaccum, and gets into everything. She is very smart and can point to all of her body parts and say almost all of them. She is very lovey, when she wants to be, and has everyone who meets her wrapped around her little finger in minutes. She loves Elmo and pretending to be like Mommy! She also loves books, which is great since I'm a bookworm. When can I introduce her to my Nora Roberts and Harry Potter collections?! lol She is our last, thank goodness, I couldn't handle anymore. My husband works offshore and half the time I'm doing it alone.

Hi everyone!! My name is Ashley & my son was born March 31st 2008. He wanted to come at the beginning of Feburary but with bed rest & brethen we were able to make it to our due date & be induced.

Currently he is a joy to be around. He suprises me with things that come out of his mouth. Dad go to work, I didn't do it, pee, mommy, daddy, pappy, sadee, dymler (our dogs) He can crow like our roosters & say carl (rooster).

We just got him moved up to his bedroom on our second floor & he will not sleep in his crib, he is sleeping in his big boy full bed (no box spring). Almost a whole week sleeping up there. I lay down with him, usually fall alseep with him & then Hubby wakes me & I go to our room on the first floor. It was hard @ first but he loves his room.

We've also been working on potty training but I'm noticing that when he says he has to pee, he's already going. He's peed once in the potty & pooed twice in the potty. He loves to flush the potty & wave bye to his poo... LOL.

Hi I'm Toni, my daughter is Andie. She is my first child, was born on 25th March 08 and we live in Sydney Australia. She is a good eater & sleeper, she walked a few days after her first birthday, she says a few words (Mama, Da, Nan, ball, "what's that", ta, boo & lots of incomprehensible babble!) but mainly she is all about pointing, actions & sounds. We do a kindy gym class once a week and she loves the parachute, walking on beams & doing forward rolls. She has a chronic blood condition called Neutropaenia (low white blood cells) which doesn't affect her day to day, only if she has a fever or is unwell & we don't know why, we have to act quick & take her to hospital for a blood tests & IV antibiotics. We have only had 1 hospitalisation at the time she was diagnosed 8 months ago, since then she has been very healthy. Nothing we can do & hopefully she will out grow it by around 4. She is our little treasure & a real delight.

Although we can only understand about half of what he is saying. He is quite the little daredevil. He gets himself in his highchair, which is making me think its time to put it away as I am afraid he will get hurt. Selah is, as most moms have stated, picking up so may words; most are missing their first letter- like the french, and the rest are trailed with "e" at the end. The only real struggle that we have had with her is that she has an aversion to eating and dropped off the charts at aobut 6 months. Thankfully her doctor has found a way to intensify her appetite with medication. What a relief!!!

Hello everyone! I'm Marjorie. I'm a graduate student and waitress and most importantly, single mom to my son Carter. He is a very busy and active little man! He is also determined and stubborn and has NO fear - which scares the life out of me on a regular basis! He's a bit of little guy, with average height and below average weight, but the doctor tells me it's nothing to worry about since he's proportioned and doing great! Recently, his vocabulary has taken off like a rocket and he has begun to understand and follow directions. It is so much fun to watch him grow and change, especially when it seems to happen over night! It never ceases to amaze me, too, how this one little person can make me want to tear my hair out and cry out of frustration, and then seconds later do something so stinkin adorable it makes my heart melt and my whole world smile. He might drive me nuts at times, but he is also truly the sunshine of my life! :)

Hey I'm Lindsey i am a 26 yr old single mother of 17 mth old twins. I just recently got out of an abusive relationship and happy w/ my life and babies. My son Hayden was 7lbs at birth and my daughter Ashlyn was 3lbs 12oz, now he's 30lbs and she s 14lbs. She was air lifted to Jackson, MS when she was 5 days old bc she had a seizure and quit breathing (we live in a small town). At the moment I saw her laying on that table hooked up to all these machines it finally HIT ME that those two little babies were mine and due to the fact that i had another baby at home and trying to recover from a C section where the spinal didnt take and the problems i had afterwards i knew i couldnt go with my baby girl, but my mom did and stayed in Jackson w/ my baby till i could get up there to see her. She has seizures, bad reflux, cataracts in both eyes (but is adorable in her little glasses) she just got braces on her feet to calves bc if she has a calf muscle its so small she cant support her weight to even stand alone. She's not far from being the height she needs to be to get her gait trainer that will help her learn to walk! She is behind developmentally but over the past couple of months since my ex (their dad) has been gone she has come a long way and her reflux has gotten better. Its amazing what can happen when u elimanate stress! I broke my ankle in april and developed 2 blood clots 6 wks after surgery and now have some health problems of my own. I lost my Pops (my step dad who i was very close to) in March and I know he's very proud of me looking down from Heaven! Going thru all of this in just several mths made me realize i was a strong enough person/mother to raise my kids alone! Hayden was put in daycare after i broke my ankle bc i couldnt continue to take care of both my kids on crutches. Hayden and Ashlyn both have become better kids bc mommy's not upset, mad, or depressed all the time. Hayden is your normal little boy. He talks and is very busy nonstop from the moment his eyes open in the a.m. till bedtime! He climbs on anything and everything, he started walking around 10 1/2 mths really good and after that he was running! He learned to sit up alone, pull up, and cruising furniture in 3 wks!! He is a quick learner and loves to figure out any kind of buckles! Bath time is the fav time of day for both of them!! My kids are my rock and keep me going day after day! I love to sit in the floor and build Mr. Potato Head or blocks w/ them and as soon as i build something one or both have to knock it down! Hayden is typical boy mean to sister and very hard headed, but also is very loving he does a fish face for a kiss and Ashlyn is typical girl...DRAMA QUEEN and lays it on thick!! Ashlyn's eyes are very sensitive to the sun but she loves to be pushed around in her little red car outside and just w/in the past few weeks she will play in the grass and loves to swing at the park and play in those little rocks! Hayden loves any kind of rock little or big and its hysterical to watch him try and pick up a rock thats in concrete he doesnt understand why he cant pick it up. I think when Ash starts talking she's gonna say a lot she is the one who sits back and takes it all in and hayden is the one in the middle of everything!! I hope i did not ramble on too much but I am new to the Circle of Moms and really enjoyed reading these posts I have a lot of friends w/ kids but this seems diff and i think i am gonna really enjoy talking to other moms!

Hi everyone! My name is Angie and my little Marchie's name is Hannah. She is my pride and joy and definitely the best thing I've ever done! She keeps me laughing and on my toes at all times. My interests include having fun with my baby girl, spending quality time with my hubby, traveling, reading, and drinking coffee to name a few. Hannah banana is currently obsessed with climbing on everything and anything - the couch, kitchen table, wine rack, and she even uses the handles on our drawers as a makeshift ladder. I think I'm going to be completely gray haired before she's 2!!
