Does anyone know at what age you can stop feeding your baby Pablum (baby cereal)? My little guy is getting sick of it, but I've heard that you should feed them Pablum until they are 1, but then I was told 2, so I'm a bit confused.

Hi, your little guys is like us.....when he doesn't want something forget it.  My little girl is the same.  I am still able to give her some, which is better than none.  Once she has taken as much as she wants I give her something else.  Her cereal in the morning is the only thing that I can still feed her from a spoon.  But, once she has had enough, I move on to toast or cheerios, anything that she can pick up with her fingers.  You are his mommy, you know best, don't listen to everything people tell you.  You can also try the baby infant cereal cookies that you can break up in formula, breastmilk or homo milk....sometimes that works for me

My twins are almost one and I still give them Heinz baby cerals (Pablum) but they will only eat it if i mix it with fruit, they don't like it with formula or water. I think the main reason they recommend it until one is because of the added iron. If your baby is a good eatter and having a variety of foods then there is no reason he has to eat pablum. If he has been introduced to all of his grains then you can give him things like cream of wheat, oatmeal and so on. My babies really like Cherrios and toast in the morning as well.
