Seperation anxiety or spoiled?

I am a stay at home mom with 1 daughter. If I try to do some chores during the day she fusses and whines. For the most part I wait until she naps to get everything done. How do I know if she is just experiencing normal separation anxiety and what is her getting spoiled by us. Any suggestions?

I have no suggestions. I can sit in front of the computer and my son will play happily for a while, but if get up to do dishes or make dinner he follows me and wants held. Luckily his sisters help out a lot at entertaining him. A lot of the time he still just wants me though.

Usually she goes to sleep without any problems. I read her 2 books (one of which is always the same "naptime" book) and sing her a lullaby & put her in her crib. Sometimes she cries for a few minutes but most of the time she goes straight down. Of course other times she refuses/can't fall asleep & one of us goes in to sway her. My husband is much better at it then I am. I do find that I have to stick to her nap schedule (4 hours after she wakes up) b/c if I put her down too early forget it. Good luck!!

i know what your going threw, my son is the same. he hangs on to me and his dad, we are finding it difficult to do things around the house! i feel that other people think he is spoilt but hes not. i dont know what to do about it myself, its difficult to deal with. how is your daughter sleeping?? my son wont even go to sleep without one of us there, but once he is asleep hes stays asleep and wakes fine but getting him to sleep he needs someone there.
