Anyone's kids have allergies?

my husband and I both have allergies. Not only that I have hypersensitive skin, I have allergic reactions ( not serious) to alot of things, light rashes, dry skin, I am even allergic to my own tears. Before my daughters 1 birthday she got a rash, we thought it was carpet freshner we put down but after a two weeks it was still there and seemed worse in places and it was bothering her so we took her to the doctor, he walked in looked at her and said she had fifths disease, wich is a viral rash that EVERY child gets and said there was nothing to do it would go away in a week or two, three weeks later it was still there, so I took her back and saw a differant doctor and it turns out she has Atopic-dermatitis wich is the medical term form...hypersensitive skin. We just have to use very sensitive hypoalergenic products. Even sensitive baby lotions can cause irritation. Hope you kids allergies aren't too bad, and get better. I have had this my entire life, but at least I know how to handle it with my babies.

i have horrible seasonal and pet allergies. i've been thru allegra, claritin, zyrtec and 3 years of shots. my husband has mild seasonal and pet allergies. mine pretty much went away when i was prego and have been pretty mild since. We haven't noticed any seasonal or pet or food allergies with our daughter yet. tho she did get my penicillian allergy, so we both can't take most antibiotics, unless we want to suffer from itchy full body rashes. we also have to be careful about some lotions. i can't have cocoa butter and she can't use the pink baby lotion.

My daughter had allergies to every thing from milk products to calcium eggs milk protien they made her scream for hours until I took her to a naturpath and she fixed her now she has no at all

yes... daughter has allergies.. not bad... just coughs at night once in awhile and then has the coughing in the mornings to get the flem out sometimes. My husband and i both do the same thing. doc said to give her a half childrens zyertec... then sleep with the windows closed, hymidifer and all that jazz...none of it helps a whole lot...

ya know i'm not sure if it's a proven fact, but i did hear that c-section babies are more pron to allergies... but can grow out of them as they get older.

We just took our daughter to be tested for allergies - she is on a nose spray. Benedryl, Zyrtec, and Allegra didn't help. Go to an Allergiest

My daughter has bad allergies that were causing ear infections frequently. We took her to the dr and she prescribed her childrens zyrtec and it has worked wonders...no more coughing at night, no sneezing and no more ear infections. They gave us the generic brand of it and its very cheap, $10 I think for a big bottle.

my oldest child takes childrens claritan.. which can be started at age 2... I have not noticed any drowsiness with it.

My kids don't have allergies, but talk to his dr about what you can do...Benedryl is probably fine, although it will make him sleepy.
